And this was before they hit loads of silos today with B-2s

But I expect third worlders to keep rambling about interceptors

But CENTCOM announced to have "hit" the Shahid Bagheri several days ago.
This may come as a shock to some. But "hit" does not mean sunk (even an 8 year old playing a game of battleship could tell you this)

Even the video post from today just says the ship is on fire, not sunk, not destroyed. We could get a video tomorrow showing us hitting it yet again.

Can someone explain to me why the only people that have died are in the reserves? Are the bases in the Middle East staffed exclusively by skeleton crews of reserves?
Yes. We weren't actually planning on fighting a war in the middle east until literally 8 weeks ago. Sustainment for the expeditionary units is done by the Army and Navy reserve rather then the active military. Its done for two reasons. Reason 1 is we don't want the active component out on snipe hunts all the time unless we want to fuck shit up. Reason 2 is to keep the US Army and Navy reserves combat capable by reminding them they are soldiers rather then civilians. Giving them 6 month tours in the sand box, Asia, Africa and even Europe is a good way to ram this home to them.

Its a common misconception to confuse the active reserves with the national guard. The national guard is not used in this way, though they have a similar function in that unless under orders it is one weekend a month, two weeks in the summer.

But even that is a bit of a canard. The Virginia National Guard was deployed to Djibouti to do force protection to our bases there during the apex of Ethiopias civil war a few years ago, so even the Guard isn't immune to getting grabbed and sent on expeditionary adventures that most American's don't even know about.

Again, its done to make sure the Guard and Reserve Units get "seasoned", and also so the active component isn't constantly running around the planet whacking fires.

Isn't the issue that those lands can't really sustain themselves? At least they couldn't with an early 20th century economy, maybe in the 21st century it can though. A city is a lot more profitable than farmland nowadays.
The Mount Lebanon region (Christian stronghold) is actually their economic engine and has been for pretty much forever - it's where most of their important ports (including, of course, Beirut) are, their industries, their financial sector, their famous cedars (for both tourism and more practical purposes), etc. The Bekaa Valley to the east is their agricultural hub but that's pretty much it (and Lebanon is to this day a net food importer anyway).

They really could've done without the Sunni-heavy far northern regions (only Tripoli is worth much of anything there, as it's another fairly important port) or especially the Shiite-heavy south (the poorest, least developed & most backward part of the country even before the Lebanese Civil War, Hezbollah was popular there not just for getting one over those dang dirty Jews but also for making the lives of the local pop'n slightly less hellish by investing into gibs & infrastructure improvements).

Wonk I have heard is its either a drone that went down or an airdrop and the militia saw the parachute.

Any updates on the "pilot" that was "shot down"?
I want to believe drone and a bunch of retarded sand niggers are combing the desert to find the pilot of a UAV. Like the Sheik in charge of them is having a laugh sending them on a snipe hunt.

But the Iraqi Militia will never catch The Ghost of Tel Aviv, Samiel Hydestein. His SERE game is on point, that's why they call him Ghost.

Iran has finally revealed their super weapon.
And all your ZOGtards are saying the Iranian airforce is finished. What do you say now?

Can someone explain to me why the only people that have died are in the reserves? Are the bases in the Middle East staffed exclusively by skeleton crews of reserves?
I will cover this.
The majority of US casualties from Iraq were not combat soldiers. It was logistics and commo guys, MPs and medics. In a word, POGs. This is because combat arms troops were usually doing the attacking and were ready for contact, rear echelon troops were generally not.

'Member Jessica Lynch?

So the reason these guys are all reservists and Nasty Girls is because they have more specialized skill sets and are put in "rear line" positions. They are generally not trained and experienced in shit hitting the fan, so they are more likely to die when struck. Also they are more likely to be isolated with help arriving later. Any "forward unit" woudl have been in bunkers with helmets and flak vests on.

That and national guard units. Its a way for them to rig the numbers of "troops" deployed over seas.
This too.

How effective would the Shah be as a geopolitical leader? What are his policy proposals? I’ve heard people say he was a complete retard college dropout with a sham degree, but is this true? He definitely has a lot of value as a figurehead, at the very least, but are there good democratic candidates to actually handle the administration of the country? Even Quaani and the other Mossad assets may be good enough.
Answer: No one knows, he's only lead Diddley and Squat thus far. Signs are... not promising of him being a great leader.
However, for a country of 90 million, the intelligence and competence of a leader are of less import then the intelligence and competence of the ministers he selects and bureaucracy he implements. And he does seem to recognize his faults. but who knows, power is a hell of a drug.

Right now he's a figurehead. Iranians like him because he's not the current regime and right now that is enough.

he was also a pilot and even volunteered to come back to iran to fight for iran in the iran iraq war, but the regime said no. hes probably not the sharpest tool in the shed [...] but pahlavi is a decent man. which is why he needs to make sure he has some good cats around him so he doesnt get eaten alive. hes not a despotic guy, at most he'll be like queen victoria. which i hope. iranians could use a break from despots.
This seems to be the shape of things. He's never lead anything, is a lot idealistic, and seems like not the brightest crayon in the box...but he's not a wanton despot (yet).

I mean to be fair, if I was living in a country that was being bombed by forces making sure there's as little civilian collateral as possible, I'd do the same.
Not just that, but they are bombing the regime that has been oppressing and killing them. Damn right they're cheering.

If Japan was bombing the offices of immigration lawyers and CAIR, I'd on my roof top waving the rising sun and pledging the emperor my service.

All the people shrieking about how Trump totally doesn't have a plan, this is ill advised, and its going to blow up in his face are ignoring a very critical factor. Two actually.
Dude you don't need to go magical thinking.
This shit has been planned out since Trump got into office.

I'm going to make this its own effort post.
But do you think Trump would be going this hard on Iran in Venezuela wasn't already in pocket?

From what I understand the IRGC controls their armories so they're basically like peace time national guard
More than just the armories. All inter-unit communication goes through IRGC.
So yes, they are pretty much just an even more cucked National Guard.

Maybe the boots on the ground are going to be those little robot dogs Boston Dynamics makes. Don't they have a model where the entire dog body is a giant sniper rifle? Basically a walking gun with an arm sticking out the top so it can open doors.
There was a longer one I can no longer find. "Hey tommy!" "What's good fam" got me every time

You realize the US also has nuclear triad with a considerably deep arsenal, right?
No the US isn't allowed to use the threat of its nukes in pursuit of its interests! Only Russia is allowed to do that! Multipolar world! I haven't BROOOOOCS for 20 minutes, I'm having a multipolar emergency!

"Who gave you the authority to drag the region into war with Iran"
You did you retarded back-biting feckless sand monkey. You and your backwards child-fucking inbred cousins for parents stone age cult. You permitted them to persist. You aided them whenever you could. You didn't care what was happening so long as it "owned the jews". You denied your airspace and bases be used and when Iran predictably chimped out and starting hitting neutral countries, instead of blaming the country launching missiles on you, you blame the US. Instead of solving the problem, you let it fester and helped it fester until the US had to come and solve it for you.

Source for these claims was CIA-linked NED groups lol.
My nigger how retarded are you? They had videos of morgues full of corpses and videos of families being charged ~$5000 to be allowed to claim the protestors bodies.

The global consequences of Americas next Afghaninam are beginning to take effect.

Sucks to be a Eurofag.

They wait and see whether Iran can weather the storm and remain functional or collapse under American bombs. Right now they are absolutely already helping with intel. Military supplies will probably come if the war drags on and it looks like America can be tied down in Iran for longer.
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAHHAHAHAHAHA
My nigger. My absolute nigger. Do you really think either Russia or China is going to go to bat for Iran? China knows they can just cut a deal with the next regime - they only care to see this resolve ASAP.
Russia is bled white and fully cucked, they couldn't help even if they wanted to.

What I do find unreasonable are all the people suddenly claiming Iran isn't a dangerous country responsible for much of the world's problems that did desperately need a regime change. That's just bullshit.
Yeah its fine being worried and cautious about adventurism in the mid east. Simping for a terrorist regime beause of Tankie mind virus or trying to Multipolar until you BROOOOOOCS is not.

Same with all the fags going "post hand", and "muh dead brown people" whenever someone dares suggest the smallest criticism for this shitshow. It's retarded, and makes it look like said fags can't think of an actual good reason this is happening even though there are several, and they're obvious.
Post hands.

America's an LNG exporter. So is Israel.

"Obliterate them via Ukraine"
What is this supposed to mean? We and the rest of NATO gave Ukraine $200b+ worth of weapons and economic aid and all it did was push the Russians back in Kharkiv, Kherson, and up north in 2022 with 2023 ending in a stalemate and 2024-2025 looking rather unfavorable.
The only thing that the US could do to force Russia into giving up would be to utilize our vastly superior air force to bomb important facilities in Siberia and shit. The issue here is that both sides have nuclear weapons and fairly modern/cold war era ICBM's so it just becomes a lose-lose situation as both can threaten each other with nuclear war; It's not like the US or Russia are completely covered in air defense systems like how Israel is meaning that the rate of interceptions for these weapons would be too low to matter.
At the risk of triggering a Zigger special posting operation:
Ukraine has been pushing Russia back once Russia lost Star Link, Russia has lost nearly all of its 2025 territory gains over the past 3 weeks as Ukraine takes advantage of Russia's inability to coordinate.

The US could arm-up Ukraine with more stand off weapons and a larger airforce - such moves would be very bad cost/effect ratio but it could be done. Ukraine could be given live satellite and targeting data. Giving them the ~900 tomhawks that will age out in the next 2-3 years could also be done, and would likely result in Russian fronts getting absolutely fucked.

You touch on a good part of why the US won't do these things:
Ukraine highcommand has demonstrated to be just as big of Soviet-minded retards as the Russians when it comes to pointlessly meatgrindering their forces, refusing to listen to NATO advisors and wanting their person soviet glory. They are also right now suffering from manpower issues but refuse to lower their draft age.

That's not the point. The point is that a conventional war with Russia is a bad idea. Even if we mop the floor with them, they could still set the US back a century through EMPs alone with a bearly-functional nuclear arsenal. The fact that Russia gets wiped off the map is inconsequential to that statement.
Russia's arsenal is not large enough to knock out the US, Canada, and Europe. That's insanity to think otherwise. In a war with Russia most of their focus would be on their Western front. If you factor in interception then Russia might have enough of an arsenal to fuck up Europe. Nuclear doomsday sayers vastly overestimate nuclear arsenals and the actual efficacy of the weapons.
Russia's arsenal is a lot of short-range missiles with some ICBMs. Russian SSBNs cannot operate independently in blue water like US can; Until their latest model, of which they have 2 (effectively in sea trials), their boomers could not even fire their missiles submerged and had to surface.

Russia used its SSBNs as mobile stealth silos, and would depend on the Russian surface fleet providing protection.

But sort of like fighint a crack addict in your living room, while you'd beat the shit out of the crack addict and it wouldn't even be close, your living room is now a mess and you have clean crack addict blood out of your carpet, so better to let the crack addict hoot and holler and finish his tantrum isnead of beating his ass.

The toilet is a nice consideration too
Hence why India never went with the Su-34.

In the flushes of victory id like to share 3 battles from ww2 history just for some context.

The Battle of Białystok–Minsk - 400,000 KIA/MIA 77k WIA
The Battle of Smolensk - 700,000 KIA/MIA or captured with a further 275,000 WIA
The Battle of Kiev (1941) - 700,000 kIA/MIA or captured 84k WIA

Im not saying Iran is at all an analogous comparison to the soviet union but it shows what a people can do when faced with overwhelming odds.

Iran has 90 million people, thats about 60% of what the soviets had and they are far more concentrated.

Not trying to use this to needlessly doom but to just illustrate how powerful the human spirit to not be conquered can be .
Iranians want their government over thrown.
Neither Russia nor Dah Natzis has air superority. They had vacillating levels of air parity.

It's sour crude and our refineries can't deal with the low grade efficiently to produce at the same cost.
You are a fucking retard. The US is the the only country in the world that can process Venezuela's swamp-sludge without cutting it with lower viscosity oil. This is why there were always tanker of Russian or Iranian oil going to Venezuela until Maduro got yeet'd.

What you are confusing is that the high sulfur output is not emissions compliant with the first world and only good for 3rd world nations.

Please stop slorping down every piece of anti-US agiprop with zero gag reflex or introspection

This is just incorrect. The US gulf refineries were built with the intent to refine shitty heavy sour crude. Almost all of American oil imports are from the tar sands of Alberta because we can refine stuff that bad. America was the biggest buyer of Venezuelan oil before Chavez took power.
Yup. US is the world's #1 refiner and the refineries have gotten very, very good at refining whatever they can get their hands on.

Now see, I've understood that the oil companies had modified their operational refineries to take advantage of Sweet Light once we lost access to the Venezuelan oil as a primary source.
Its a bit of work to readjust a refinery for a different viscosity and sulfer content, but its far from impossible or even lengthy. Depending how big of a change it is, you don't even need to shutdown the refinery, you can just slowly step up to the target viscosity by using a mix of inputs.

Trump went after Iran only after Venezuela was back to exporting. Keep that in mind as you performatively seethe about orangeman.

Yes, and I'm well aware of the existence of formations like the ROA (whose commander Vlasov was IIRC the highest-ranking Soviet defector of the conflict). I don't doubt they could and would have had even more (a lot more, at that) if they had been able to keep their Slavsperging in their pants instead of implementing Generalplan Ost, however.
Agreed. Ukraine, immediately post Nazi invasion, was restful and welcomed the Germans as liberators. Their policies of pissing off the locals and treating them just as bad as the soviets quickly upended that.

Guise I've deciphered the super secret Iranian radio messages. EAT AT JOE'S... EAT AT JOE'S... EAT AT JOE'S... EAT AT JOE'S... It's JOEVER for hunger in IRGC bunker 42069

Gay slap fighting outside of the gay slapfighting thread? No not here, but in the eastern med,
Greece put their patriots on the island of Karpathos, some hundred km from Turkey.
-Refuse to actually constrain Iran
- get butthurt when someone else does.

Sounds about right for an Islamic nation.

Hopefully greece uses this to take back Constantinople.

Funnily enough, IIRC they tried to nail Admiral Dönitz for Germany's submarines not helping sailors of sunk enemy ships. But he was cleared (of those charges at least) by showing that the allied submarines conducted themselves similarly as the German ones.

Important to note that his legal argument wasn't simply that the allies did bad things too, so that he should be considered innocent. The argument was that the law of the sea infact did not prohibit the type of warfare employed by either side.

So if anything. The Nurenberg trials are precedent that this American sub did follow international law.
More than just that, in one specific a U-boat did rescue survivors, was taking them to port, and was attacked by a B-25. In tat case they called in the pilot of the B-25 pilot who said "Yup we were going to sink them" and a USN admiral who said "Yup, Uboat guy did the right thing, I'd expect my captains to do the same".

Then why do we enjoy killing muslims? Are you saying muslims and arabs are the west?
Everyone enjoys killing muslims. Especially muslims.

Absolutely acceptable. Zoroastrianism doesn't sound like a pedophilic death cult.
I mean even if it is, they don't broadcast the call to pray to the Pedophile's moon god 5 x a day so already ahead on points.

I miss the times when this was a 'Comedy Forum' *sigh*

Iran has a population of 90 million. The US would need DOUBLE that, 1 million troops, to conquer Iran on the ground. A more realistic number is 3 million, given the more difficult terrain any invasion force would encounter. Total US military including reserves is I believe 1.3 million.
This entire post only makes sense if you assume the purpose of deploying ground forces is to seize direct control of the entirety of Iran. I think you people are purposely ignoring that there are myriad reasons why the US might deem it prudent to invade with limited goals. Seizing strategic islands (like Kharg or Qeshm) makes sense. Identifying / assaulting subterranean bases makes sense. So does seizing airstrips and landing sites for material support to potential allies.

It's even conceivable that the US will send Rangers and Marines to seize small defensible tracks of territory along the coast. That "rough terrain" you guys keep talking about cuts both ways (it's also not nearly as severe along the gulf). Any territory seized will be difficult for the Iranians to reclaim, especially when airstrikes make it impossible to concentrate their forces. A small number of American ground forces equipped for amphibious landings are currently in theater. Their purpose, in the best case scenario, is to give the IROI a credible threat of invasion that must be accounted for in their planning.

Personally, I think America is betting the farm on widescale Artesh defections, which the US can support with airpower. I think Israel is good with whatever strategy, so long as they can keep bombing Iranians.

For everyone who keeps saying that "boots on the ground" is literally impossible, I'll be ecstatic if it turns out I'm wrong. If not, I reserve the right to take Ghostse as one of my 72 maidens in the afterlife.

This is why Iran is chimping out and hitting everyone around them. They are trying to cause chaos, turn the alliance on itself, and try to get the individual neighbors to try to make a deal with Iran to not be targeted. They are doing this because they believe there is no downside. Who cares if Azerbaijan is all butthurt we droned their airport? Allah's protection means we'll never suffer any real consquences.
The "random" attacks only started after their command had decentralized, there is no political strategy. For anyone complaining about the US Military being hamstrung by limp-wristed RoEs, this is what it looks like when there is ZERO political control over a war effort.

And this was before they hit loads of silos today with B-2s

But I expect third worlders to keep rambling about interceptors
Latest cope I've been seeing from the hardcore Pro-Iranians is that Iran is conserving their ammo to try and prepare for a long war, thing is Iran can't win a protracted war against the US, it's strategy should call for inflicting the highest amount of US casualties as soon as the war starts for maximum effect on the US political climate. The shock of the war is still extremely fresh and all of a sudden, the US has a lot of dead soldiers? That could get them to scale things back quickly.

And Iran did know this, it's why they launched a ton of shit at every single US base they could as soon as the war kicked off, pissing off a lot of their neighbors in the process when a good chunk of their missiles ended up hitting things that weren't US bases, even outside of them trying to close off the strait of Hormuz, it's just that the US military is actually a pretty good and all 6 deaths have been from a single strike to my knowledge.

A decent amount of the stuff being spread around is. I've honestly stopped caring about most footage at this point. So much slop being spread it's not even worth the time.
The issue is that unlabeled AI content trying to pass as news is not allowed in this thread.

To clarify, I'm not saying I'm 100% sure that video is AI, just that it looks a lot like it to me.

The first world: the states most ideologically aligned with the United Nations' various organizations' philosophies. (Most of Europe, Canada, developing countries, etc.)

The second world: the states most ideologically aligned with the United States and imperialism (Japan, S. Korea, Israel)

The third world: CINO (communist in name only) totalitarian post-Maoist states like China.

The fourth world: the Islamic world

Welcome to the Microwave War: we got a nice hot plate full of cold food, plus the occasional bite that will burn your tongue off.

Dumb shit.

The “worlds” refer to to Cold War alignments.

First world was the United States and those aligned with it,

Second world was the Soviet Union and those aligned with it.

Third world was countries who labelled themselves “unaligned”. Which is why Sweden and Ireland were Third World nations at the time.

Nowadays though since the Soviet Union imploded Third World refers to dogshit countries with too many people begging for money, First World are countries that crippled their economies in favor of “financial services” and real estate scams, and the second world doesn’t exist at all. Maybe North Korea could be the second world they’re still communists of the old style I suppose.

By the late 40's it was clear the germans were switching from a pan-german view to the pan-white view of modern natsocs, the SS saw how good the ukranian and russian waffen-ss units fought and even Goebbels liked vlasov and his men enough to keep meeting him several times in 44-45, that is just 3 years after hitler expressly banned any ussr recruitment whatsoever, the pan-german faction definetly lost to wartime necessity and reality.
Leon Degrelle, the belgian SS officer and pre-war monarchist-fascist who impressed Hitler so much he once said he wished he was his son, was interviewed shortly before death by Dugin in 94:
AD: How did Hitler feel about Stalin?

LD: I once asked Hitler at the height of the war: «My Führer, if Stalin fell into your hands, what would you do with him?» He replied: «I would make the most beautiful castle in Europe available to this man!»
AD: Mr. Degrelle, you fought in the ranks of the SS Wallonia division on the Eastern Front. What are your memories of this war and of the Russian people?

LD: The Russians are a great people. When we arrived in your land, we were sure that we would find «untermenschs» Marxists of Asian type and barbaric culture. This is what our propaganda told us. But very soon we realized that it was a lie. Russians and Ukrainians are both great peoples, Indo-European peoples: brave, noble and generous. I admire them. Standing in front of the Russians, I realized that they should be part of the Reich on an equal footing. Like a great European people. The idea of colonizing Russia very soon began to seem like a dangerous and unnecessary illusion to me. I immediately tried to express this point of view to both Himmler and Hitler. But, you already know how strong Pan-German prejudices were... How difficult it was for me to change Himmler's mind, even in relation to the Walloons and the Frenchas well as with respect to other Europeans of non-German origin. This process was underway, but we had very little time, and then came the war.

I did not fight against the Russians, I fought against communist ideology, which denies the spirit, religion, tradition, national and racial values. And I consider Russians to be the only young people in Europe who still have the opportunity for a national renaissance. Europe itself will be saved from them. I also want to say that I have a much better opinion, in a purely military sense, of Russian soldiers than of Russian officers. I am convinced that a large number of casualties could have been avoided if more trained and professional officers had been in command of the Soviet army. I was surprised that they didn't care at all about the lives of the soldiers. How many senseless deaths! Perhaps this is a consequence of the fact that just before the war, Stalin destroyed the most capable and trained personnel.
AD: What do you think about General Vlasov?

LD: It may seem strange, but I always had a strong dislike for him. I didn't trust him. I never trusted two national leaders: the Frenchman Doriot and Vlasov. There was too much of a traitor in him. Is it possible to change ideology so quickly, while also being in captivity?

Another thing is those Russians who consciously joined fascism in exile. The so-called «white». And my distrust of Vlasov was further confirmed when he betrayed Hitler in the Prague case. A traitor cannot change his nature. But what happened then in Prague... I have never seen such atrocities. The unfortunate German sisters of mercy in military hospitals were thrown alive out of the windows... The revenge of the victors was terrible. Of course, modern history is silent on this.

Nah, 1st world is modern countries, 3rd world is shithole countries, and there's emerging countries which are shitholes that are improving.

The only thing the Gulf kicking out the Yankees would change is the USN closing the Straits instead of Iran.
why would the gulf states want to defect from the US? That would be teaching Iran that any time they want something they can bully the GCC until they get what they want/
