What did Yosuke mean by this?

Man, im gonna have to comb through the entire game to see what lines they have changed.

P6 is probably going to be a dumbed down mess as well.
And if P6 starts out at current day Atlus levels of handholding, imagine how much worse it will get with P6R, P6G, P6FE, and P6LGBTQ+Y editions? Although it'd be funny if they reach a point of dumbing things down so much there's nowhere left to go, so they start making the remakes harder than the originals.

Dude this makes me so fucking sad. I was formerly a huge fan and I own the limited edition steel covers of basically all the PS2 era Megaten and Persona games even the obscure and Japan only ones.

Now they make slop for retards and troon Communists with Bluesky accounts.

I don't get the excessive doomposting over a mechanic nobody will ever get a chance to use. I'll give Atlus this much at least this is tied directly to the gameplay and is not just a spamable cutscene super.
Persona really is just watered down SMT for niggercattle, isn't it?

You were never going to play it anyways.

It's watered down SMT for like 14 year old japanese boys who like anime and feel lonely and shit, niggercattle merely adopted it

I played P2-4 when I was a teenager myself and found the games okay-ish, then got into SMT a few years later and actually loved the games, specifically Strange Journey and SMT4, SMT3 was okay but a lot of it was a slog.

I only ever really related to the p4 scenario and found p2-3 to be kind of meh, I didn't even finish p2 because it was something that came with my psp. Couldn't get through p5 either because it felt like all the social links were either goonbait or entirely unrelatable and the location being Tokyo(but not as fleshed-out as Yakuza) just made it feel like a tourism sim. Like yeah, we're in Shibuya and Shinjuku again, very cool. Palaces were cool conceptually but after the Egypt one I kind of tapped out. Maybe I missed a kino third act. I liked OG Tartarus, didn't care much for some of the later P4 dungeons(was stuck on the vidya-themed one forever) - P5 felt way to "anime" for my taste too. I think the terms weebs use is chuunibyo - dialog feels quippy and marvelesque and they don't even take it seriously in-universe like they do with the Kamen Rider shit in SMTV

I also kind of liked how the dungeons in 3 & 4 were a slog, it felt like an earnest attempt to get teenagers into SMT rather than P5's obvious attempt to make a game for anime fans first and SMT neophytes second. I think the remake of P4 will take away everything I liked about the game and replace it with wokeism and anime-bullshit. P3's remake was borderline doing that but the subject matter of the game was just too dark to fully turn into a goofy anime shitshow. I especially feel like the remake was made by zoomer japs with zero self-reflection and the OG/Golden was made by based oldgen introspective japs. The fact the Inaba school isn't basically a shanty illustrates this perfectly, same with how they made Junes super modern when it's supposed to be Yosuke's dad's unicorn startup Costco clone sporting shitty heisei aesthetics that were already out of date when the game launched. Inaba is supposed to be a shithole dying town and that isn't reflected in the remake at all from what I've seen.

I fully get why they took the direction with the franchise because P1 and P2 are practically unplayable to modern audiences, P3 is kinda is to a lesser degree, but to act they're just going to keep dumbing things down in the next installment is just being veering into tortanic territory. For as much (deserved) shit P5 gets for being the JRPG for people who don't like JRPGs it did bring back mechanics from the older games albeit more streamline and gave you more options to keep everything fresh and engaging so you're not just spamming the same skills across multiple turns ala Nocturne and DDS. I can see P6 bringing back and refining elements because thats been Atlus mantra for a while now.

I have a (very bad) feeling that P6 is going to just be a JJK ripoff with a woke subplot since the protag seems like he might be mixed-race(or they're just gonna give him a Yuji haircut once he invokes his 'sona since one of the leakers said "there's a reason he looks like a blank slate") - the female deuteragonist even looks like Megumi

the inspiration design-wise seems to be JJK, Ghost Hunter shows, and Clockwork Orange. either way, with the absolute state of anime that touch on the same themes(DanDaDan and JJK specifically) I don't have high hopes at all.

This cannot be said when Strange Journey Redux exists. You can effortlessly autobattle through the vast majority of that game if you don't crank the difficulty, and the only things that can realistically stop you are enemies with Physical resistances making it faster to throw a spell or two.

Part of it is Persona has always been easy, but the other issue is Atlus remakes always add mechanics to neuter difficulty.
