Most of them aren't powercreeping stuff in a fucking month. It made sense in China but not in global.
Then don't pull if you don't like it. Especially as the advantage of having a lag between a global and chink server is that you save a lot on temporary meta units.
Nikke and Limbus have actual lores, and so is this one. I can't see Nikke and Limbus going EOS anytime soon in this foreseeable decade and I believe this is the case here either.

They have a SMT gacha game that's apparently still running by the way even if I had never heard about it for years.
Nikke and Limbus are their own storylines. But Persona is its own series and starting to refer to spinoffs in future games will hurt sales way more than just treating it as alternate universe. Same thing when the Persona 4 fighting game came out and absolutely fucking nothing came from its plot.

P5X is literally an alternate universe thing.

Yeah I agree with all of the Persona 4 spinoffs Sega probably roped Atlus into doing for close to a decade. They also flanderize the characters way too much. P5 Tactica is also bad. Arguably the only spinoff thing that's acceptable is P5 Strikers.

There was a 1 year lag between Ange/Oracle/Fuuka and Miku in the Chink server ironically. In the Global/Japanese servers it was a single month between Ange and Miku.

I'd say the west is still in a better position due to existence of AA and indies picking up the slack.
Even those are turning to shit too what with everything being a retro throwback clone or trying to ape off the success of another high profile title its just become an ouroboros of everyone eating each other alive and it doesn't help that what constitutes as "indie" has been broaded to the point where games being backed by the government and tencent are considered "indie".

But you need to live under a rock to say that the situation of Japanese RPGs isn't complete shit.
Really outside Square who have been pushing out garbage for 20 years now and are finally receiving some blowback for their retardation every other company is staying afloat. Monolith continues to develop Xenoblade titles, Gust is still finding success with Atelier, Konami is actually making a new JRPG, so really not including some outliers (Bamco fucking over the Tales franchise) everything is fine. Just think that Atlus could have taken the gacha pill and just stop making new games despite how much easy money they could make with P5X alone but they didn't.

Arguably the only spinoff thing that's acceptable is P5 Strikers
If you like musuo slop sure. The Arena games were way better than they had any right to be given they were licensed ASW games before they sold out and the first PQ game was solid the second one was shit much like every P5 spinoff.

Musou slop is a rare word.

I don't know if this is a hot take but the story of P5S was a lot less contrived compared to whatever excuse plot Arena even has. Trust me I know the gist of both. Although I don't know how good Arena is for fighting game standards, I guess it's better than Tekken 8 at least.

I swear that at one point the only video games remaining (if you can even call them that) are AI games or gacha, nothing else will remain. Again it could happen as soon as 5 years.

And then the only games the sheeple will be playing is war.

Monolith's last actual game was Xenoblade 3 four years ago and it was very mediocre (the DLC was better). Gust really have been losing their mojo with the last Atelier games and are now rereleasing a dead gacha as a product. Bamco either releases remakes or shit. Konami likewise. And Sega decided to kill the Yakuza franchise. Pretty much since COVID Jap output was horrifically bad.

Isn't this literally almost always Bandai Namco? They were doing this for 20+ years if I can recall and the only actually playable ones were either Gundam or Digimon games. Emphasis on the playable.

Interesting, because those are all fanservice games. Wonder if it has anything with the ongoing censorship waves with Playstation and the wokies.

Pretty much since COVID Jap output was horrifically bad.
The EU Globalist wokies and AI pretty much fucked everything over so hard that video games out of Gacha just barely exists past that point. I haven't even seen a viral meme anymore in 2 years, lest be a decent videogame coming from anywhere, it's just that bad.

you gotta get your eyes checked and/or stop posting like a retard
So basically you're just as much of a retard as the other guy who cant even point out where the stains on the walls are. Almost like you're a larper.

Strikers makes more sense as a whole and does a better job incorporating its own story beats with the game but it more or else is dependant on how much you really like P5. Arena is just plain nonsense but it fun in a stupid sort of way with how much fanservice they try to cram in also fighting game stories are never the highest caliber.

Opinions on Xenoblade titles after the first have always been divided and 3 didn't change the discourse in fact it was less negative compared to 2. 4 years is actually really good between titles compared to FF, DQ, KH and of course Persona.

I honestly forgot Yumia released last year

And Sega decided to kill the Yakuza franchise.
That franchise was already one foot in the grave before Like A Dragon and all Sega did was cater hard to the fans who got into it with 0

The typical nonsense fighting game story doesn't translate into a prime Persona continuity game at all and as far as I know it's infested with lots of heavily flanderized charaslop.

If it's an AU crossover with BlazBlue or Guilty Gear I can understand, but not as a canon persona title.

I mean honestly the same can be said about Dancing All Night. I dont think Atlus thinks hard about continuity given how they dont give P1 or P2 fans any leverage anymore.

I only really played the PS2 one, I keep forgetting they remaster her. Like the bass EN Chie sounds so distinct but Erin just sounds like any other anime chick so I have a hard time caring really
I just took a listen to the original Chie actress and man if she was the VA for her in golden maybe I wouldn’t have wanted to kill myself whenever she spoke.

They used to do it with multiple games, although it was during that time where SEGA forced them to milk Persona 3 and 4. In fact in one of the P3 remakes you get to visit Inaba. But yeah Dancing All Night is also a problem, make no mistake the Persona 3 and 5 Dancing Games are straight-up slop but the story in P4DAN seems to be forcibly put in for the sake of.
