If we had another Def Jam fighting video game, the game would not be fun since most rappers would be either in jail or dead due to drug related and gang related activities.
More than that, the Def Jam games were just polished up versions of games like No Mercy, a gameplay type that has fallen out of favour with the mainstream.
You know whenever a classic style Resident Evil comes out and the same old tired complaints about tank controls are bad and guns make things not scary? Imagine that, but with a wrestling game.
Plus, you just know it would be a "games as a service" mess with characters locked behind DLC loot boxes.
Who are the tards saying that, zoomer babies?
My guess would be Nintendrones.
We need more good arcade racing games which arent mario kart and are on the pc.
@RSOD beat me to it, but there's no way this is going to happen. So many people are obsessed with "realistic" racing games. I ranted about it previously in the thread since I'm currently catching up on old racing games.
I've not replayed GRID on 360 yet, but I saw reviews complaining that being able to play reverse tracks was unrealistic, and the AI sometimes crashes out in spectacular fashion. These are good things imo.
Sonic All Star Transformed is the best kart racer I've ever played. Great career, fun powerups without making the whole race random chance. This game "doesn't count" because it doesn't have the Mario or Crash license. I've heard good things about Trailout (though when I tried the menus were completely broken) and Horizon Chase, but these games "don't count" because they're indies.
Personally even if I'm a zoomer I would say 96-2006 was the best decade for gaming ever just cause of how many retroactively iconic games released, the level of experimentation and fun games had and the average quality of even objectively bad games were good.
What you're forgetting is that to zoomers, anything before the Xbox 360 is seen as too primitive to go back to for more than a 5 minute distraction. It's an argument I've heard from Millennials about the PS1 and SNES, and while I want to dismiss it as dumb, it's how I feel about the Atari 2600.
I don't get it. Why is it brought up so often? It's no different than your generic space shooter...
To expand on what
@Arthur Morgan said, Mass Effect and Telltale had a great reputation for your choices being reflected in the story, and people talking about said choices.
"
Seran kills himself! I didn't see that coming!"
"What are you talking about? I killed Seran, Wrex was with me."
"Wait, Wrex died in my playthough."
Now imagine the possibilities of that stretched over 3 games. Turned out to be all smoke and mirrors, and discussing choices doesn't work now no one is talking about it and all the information for the perfect run has been datamined.
Speaking of Bioware, I never did like them.
I had this feeling with Gearbox, Lab Zero, and Double Fine, and to a lesser extent, Frictional Games, Blizzard, and Lionhead. People fawned over them but I didn't see it. Gearbox, Lab Zero, and Blizzard turning out to be shit years after the fact is vindicating, though not exactly good. Still waiting for Double Fine to shit the bed so bad they lose their good will, they've come close but it hasn't happened yet.
I was a big fan of Raven back in the day. They never got the recognition they deserved since they made straight forward, but fun shooters.
