For me, the original The Crow was all about the visuals and the soundtrack. It's a potent blast of nostalgia for many of us who came of age in the 1990s. The same with 1995's Mortal Kombat.

I mean, only thing you can say MK was good was the fight scenes, soundtrack and well picked cast aaand...thats it. The missing gore and times REALLY bad CGI didnt help

I've got the whole series on DVD. (Not hard, it was only one season.) There's a Mark Dacascos commentary on there. Show is uber Canadian and makes little sense, but has fun 90s fight scenes. It was made by the same company that produced Mortal Kombat: Conquest.

Watched the third Crow, Salvation. While not anywhere near as bad as the second one i felt it was just utterly meh and also dragged on forever. I won't bother and bore people here with more of my opinions because it feels pointless, the sequels are just bad movies. Won't bother watching the fourth film either, had my fill of shitty movies now. Dude looked good in the Crow paint and with his manic stare, though.

I worded it real dumb, but novel was fully LGBT, and they just yeeted all that in the movie. Never read most Crow comics as they peter out real soon, my only bad comics indulgence is Hellraiser.

There was gonna be a female Crow sequel actually. It was going to be called "The Bride". The concept was scrapped due to female action protags not being popular at the time supposedly, so they could've easily revisited that dead concept and brought it back instead of remaking the original.

Van Helsing is another early 2000s schlockfest that I truly love. I love that movie for all the same reasons that I love the Underworld movies and wish that we had gotten a sequel or two.

Haven't seen any honest to god goths in person for some 20 years now. Guess it hasn't helped malls don't exist anymore lol

One of those things I think the internet has ruined is all the subcultures I grew up around seem to have died out.

Now it's just some gender special blob world which despite all those rainbows is darker than any trench coat you could have found in a hot topic.
