this is making me increasingly interested in trying the seven million sequels
Brandon Lee was such a bad actor he was probably too stupid to act hurt when he got shot. He probably just saw a bullet in his heart and looked off camera and went "um...... Liiiiine?"

WAY better, dumb in a place or two, as well. Also do not watch 4.
If i watch 3 i most definitly will watch 4. This thread reminded me i always wanted to watch them but never got around to it. I draw the line at watching the show, i hazily remember catching an episode on late night tv way back and thinking it was utter bullshit. Not watching the remake either as the trailer, once again, already shows the full movie and i did not like what i saw.
(Shoots a shotgun full of wedding rings at gas puddle)
10-year-old me loved that scene, stop breaking my heart. Also, Brandon Lee was miles above that literal who protagonist in the second film and that's saying something.

It's good too. If not for the godawful Laser Mission, he'd have a pretty good filmography. I haven't seen Kung Fu: The Movie but the finale of Legacy of Rage was pretty cool.

He would have ended up being an amazing martial artist and actor had he not signed up to be a brooding goth juggalo in a movie with some of the shittiest dialogue since the room. People will always put him on a pedestal for that gay movie which is literally his worst performance (although I can't fault him because half of the movie was a stuntman in a mask pretending to be him because he was already dead)

His career was going on such a good trajectory that I think it if he looked back in 2024 he would say the crow is the one film he regrets doing. But everybody in their 30s and 40s have this obsessive need to equate tragic death with GOATness.

It's BULLSHIT I did NOT hit her I did NAAAAHT....

Oh, hai crows!

Phew, what a stinker. You know a film is shit when it's glaringly obvious that even the hair stylist did a bad job. But that acting, man. That fucking acting. Some studio exec cocks must've been throated until they were raw for these people to get a role in a movie. Unbelievable that this got a cinematic release back in the day. It's bad even by bad-90's-movie standards, the last film that was this outrageously shitty i can remember watching in more recent times was Class of 1999 and even that one had better moments than City of Angels. I guess the nicest thing i can say is that some of the sets looked cool. That very gratuitous BDSM scene in the beginning was, uh, interesting too, what the fuck was up with that?
I'm gonna torture myself some more tomorrow when i watch part 3. I'm not really looking forward to it.
Funny you should mention execs. Apparently the movie was supposed to have a whole different story and plot, but got heavily re-shot, re-filmed cause Epstein got involved and he just wanted fo the director to make Crow 1 again.

I mean, does anyone remember the Underworld movied passed the 1st?
I unironically love those movies and revisit all five of them every couple of years. They're stupid as shit, nonsensical as hell, and wildly entertaining. The movies are full of fun action sequences, blood n guts, great actors like Bill Nighy and Charles Dance chewing scenery, and Kate Beckinsale at her early-2000s pinnacle of hotness. What's not to love?

10-year-old me loved that scene,
That's the problem. I'm assuming you and most of the people posting in this thread are about 40? You are looking at a shitty B movie that probably would have ended up straight to video at Blockbuster had Bruce's son not taking one for the team in his torso, but you're looking at it through the eyes of '90s nostalgia.

And people can downvote me and that's okay but they know I speak the truth. The acting was as bad as the room, scenes where he squeezes the drugs out of the Mom's arm like a jelly donut and shoots wedding rings into a puddle of gasoline (gasoline, shotguns, and wedding rings don't work that way) Ugh, his name was Eric Draven. Like RAVEN! Get it??? Get it??? Did it all happen on DEVIL'S NIGHT??? Wow, fuckin EXTREME, duuuude. Terrible dialogue, lame acting, gay wardrobes, it was just a B movie handjob for the wannabe goth crowd. And they ate that shit up.

That movie got a pass because the lead actor got killed on set. Period. I've seen more range, dialogue and better effects in tampon commercials.

The Crow is up there with Interview with a Vampire on my Mount Rushmore of movies from the '90s that were awful that people aren't allowed to say are awful.

Nah, i think you are fully allowed to say it and it is pretty much the truth. I even forgot the heroin scene and his name being fucking Eric Draven :story: I don't think it's The Room-tier though, as it at least told a coherent story. It still is "Ow, the Edge - The Movie", it was the 90's after all, but after watching the second one it still at least had SOME work put in it in comparison. I don't hold The Crow as some hidden cinema gem that people just don't understand in my memory, it's not even anywhere near must-watch territory. All the more retarded they're making a remake.

I am convinced of that.
Dude :story:

Honestly, I just wonder if anyone remembers the other movies. Most I recall people talk about the 1st movie, maaaybe second..good luck with the remaining 3.
