I did not see a thread posted on this yet, so I wanted to start one.

It's something me and the mister have been struggling with for a few years. Our only option left is IVF, as we have done IUI three rounds.

Any success stories or other kiwis with experience in IVF or IUIs? Feel free to post any advice or nuggets of wisdom. Try not to powerlevel identifying information (such as locations, doctor's names, etc.).

All I can say is good luck. I hope it works out for you. I have two friends who went through IVF and were successful. Though the oldest IVF kid is now a teen and occasionally his mum has regrets 😆.

Just here to say, I find it suspect at the very least that every time I see covid clotshot propaganda ads on some state billboard - they only ever feature pregnant White women on them. I haven't seen one dieverse pregnant bitch getting a needle in her arm. And the propaganda also comes with predictably fearmongering lines like, "I'm getting this vaccine for my baby!"

But wait, The State always has the People's best interest at heart, right?......

You don't hate the State enough.

Good on you for trying OP, I wish you the very best.
I'm continuously surprised Westerners can still have children at all though.

>Cover themselves in carcinogenic and hormone altering parfum chemicals every day because they smell nice
>Normalize taking hormone blocking birth control from teenage years onwards
>Adopt the 9/5 lifestyle once associated with a full-time breadwinner, but with none of the support of a dedicated home-maker
>Either eat like a rabbit, or like a pig, and almost always the wrong things.
>Add to that all the things that can just naturally go wrong with pregnancy
>If life somehow finds a way through all that, good chance they panic and murder it as soon as it becomes detectable

I mean, is it any surprise our birth rates are plummeting?
The generalized sense of despair and hopelessness, also discourages people from trying to reproduce themselves; cynicism is a highly effective contraceptive.

You and the mister should go clean living, diet, exercise, sleep, ect. Improves the quality of the sperm and increases the ability to bring to term. Plus the real trial starts after they're born, you'll appreciate the improved health.

Its enough stress and money to threaten any marriage. IVF seems to take 2-3 tries with some additional treatments, yet only 1 try in Mexico for people I know that went there. Its a racket with PCOS the most common lie told to chubbies and fatties as the go-to used by clinics to explain why it didn't work and have you spending $100k. So best advice is to not be fat. Women I know who who have actually had PCOS were rail thin miscarry machines.

I really don't think this website is a good place to talk about something so personal and intimate. Keep in mind there is an almost 100% chance male users will use this against you at some point and leave empty egg carton memes and other shit on your profile. There's tons of bitter incels reading this board looking to harass women.

Ah, boil your head Drip.
People razz you because you're conceited.
Your coochie never mattered.
woah, speak of the incel!

I don't know if it's cheaper to adopt than getting fertility treatments.
Probably depends on insurance, where you live, etc etc. I think adopting is a great option but obviously it's not for everyone. It sucks that there are a lot of unloved kids that have shitty junkie/unavailable parents that give them up but that doesn't mean you're gonna be the best option for handling them. I hope you have success with IVF or any other way you're able to have kids OP.

As a man with his own missus, I wish you luck and hope you have the family you dream of.

I only stopped by this thread because it popped in the recently posted list. I can only offer advice for yer mister: drink water my man. Sleep regularly like it's your fucking job. Get aluminum-free (aluminum oxides fuck your reproductive system) deodorant for prostate health and good seminal fluid. Finally, take a multivitamin with good levels of zinc/magnesium. Zinc promotes sperm production and magnesium promotes mental health, particularly in men, so you are in the correct headspace to support yer missus.

This is the year of hope and love.

Well, I’ve worked with two women who had multiple rounds of ivf, which failed, then got inexplicably pregnant naturally, so keep your hopes up because fertility is an odd thing.
Were you ever given any reason for the infertility? Has he had his semen values tested? I’m sure you’ve done all the below anyway, but for anyone struggling they tend to say;
-get weight in normal range
-any insulin resistance get that sorted
-reduce stress levels (easy to say, harder to do.)
-no booze for either of you
- sperm take 75 days to grow from scratch so men need to spend at least three months of no booze, no tight underwear, no sitting for hours, no excessive cycling. No sitting with phone or laptop on lap. Vitamin d, zinc and DHA supplement and take zinc.
-ovulation strips , pee on them and target shagging for fertile times rather than daily.
I hope 2025 is your year and you succeed in getting pregnant. Infertility is very depressing and awful, and you have my sympathy

For the love of God, don't go on IVF. Don't let people shame you for being infertile either. Not everyone is given the gift of children, and that's fine.
while i agree that you shouldn't be ashamed of infertility, what is the reason why OP should never go on IVF? if OP really wants a child and this is the only way to get preggos, then what is the counter argument? im not attacking, just curious what your side is.

if OP really wants a child and this is the only way to get preggos
It's not a guarenteed chance at all. Not worth undertaking an abortative process that could have any number of consequences on the mother's body.

Instead of fighting against your own biology, there's a lot of children in the foster care system that need a home.
