I will never feel sympathy for Phil because he is a terrible person. He is a condescending hypocritical loudmouth coward, incapable of admitting fault, greedy, ungrateful, hateful, driven by jealousy and pride, and above all else a functional retard. Every negative social quality you can think of a person to have, Phil has. He's the kind of guy you avoid at parties, the asshole at the grocery store, the shut-in whining about a world he never interacts with.

Above all Phil has never felt a gram of sympathy or empathy about any person in his entire life. Treat him how he treats others.

Update : Watched some more DSP videos today and it's really amazing how good he is at making one lose sympathy and empathy for him. He always go on about the detractors but on his LTG videos, you can clearly see he enjoys revealing LTG's real name and the stuff about child support in case a viewer didn't know.

The thing about Phil that makes him such a deeplore cult-follow is that he has always been a rancidly toxic loser jealous of the success of others. The earliest presence he has on the Internet is absolutely foul in exactly the same way he's shitty now. He can pretend he's changed, but he reverts back into the King of Hate given literally any opportunity to act superior.

His power goes out because of a windstorm and he crashes out calling all of Washington State inept life-losers.

He gets beaten in SF6 and says rollback netcode is the worst and every fighting game player but him is in the pocket of Big Fighting Game.

He invites Wings on and condescends to him the whole time in ways that make him look extra stupid.

This is in the last few months. He's been posting online having crashouts like this at a similar frequency for 20+ years. Hell, Project 7 is basically one big one, since it's all about the haters. There's so much you forget it all and you're left with the reality show fascination.

The only one I feel bad for is John Rambo, dude was one of the only ones that was a true friend to DSP. John did so much for DSP, in both his content and being a positive social interaction.
Didn't even seem to be in it for the money, since the one time John did ask for money it was for gas money. A lot of DSP's shitty behavior, John kind of ignored.

IMHO losing John as a friend, was the biggest mistake of DSP's 'career'. Fans loved John, John was a real friend, and DSP could have been a major player in the duo commentary letsplay video format that got massively popular.

Almighty Tevin did back in time segments, that might still be up on Youtube that go over old lore. There is also The Dent Sea Scrolls, done by ALT but never watched those, don't even know what channel ALT posts on. If you watch old DSP lore, you will quickly realize DSP hasn't really changed much.

I never found RTU/Ralph funny, they are just very boring for me. However I have been into a DSP rabbit hole these past days and he is insanely funny, stuff like the banana song, cologne reviews, or his majestic RTU interview when he pretends he was the genius mastermind all along are gold nuggets, it's so hilarious seeing his crazy mental gymnastics, and it doesn't feel bad after knowing a lot of bad stuff he did (Wings for example just said some devious shit, seriously who didn't?).
DSP is also extremely good at projecting and if he takes an insult or whatever, you can be 99% sure he will figure out a way to use that same insult on somebody else or the detractors in the future, which is extremely dumb but also very funny to look at.

I think I already explained & don't want to post a TLDR here, but I was sympathetic when people used to go at him without good evidence (e.g: Jasper nonsense, other stuff that I'd need to dig up, etc) and at the time I was mostly seeing "Doody tier" comments from retards on Twitter and the YouTube comment section (what was basically the main vocal "detractorsphere" besides Kiwifarms) so I engaged a lot back then, which made people think I was blindly defending him 100%, which isn't true.

Then Champions saga was introduced, I researched stuff on my own (so without 3rd party bias), I talked to him & many other people, and concluded that this time evidence was not only sufficient, but overwhelming into proving that he was an irredeemable liar, actual scammer, and traitor to his audience, going beyond simply being an asshole, but actually lying straight to their face & manipulating them for financial gain, often even using emotional tactics (e.g: his cries of not having enough money, while in the same day spending hundreds on a gacha account he swore wasn't his, and that money wasn't spent like that).
