About five or six years ago I briefly felt bad for him because I fooled myself into believing that somewhere in his heart he'd rather be a different person if he had a chance. But every single time he had an off-ramp to improving even slightly, he chose to dig in further.

Lots of interesting takes, and it's true that oddly, DSP fins way into relevancy once a year yet still fucks everything up, his trolls are also kind of nice, I feel like Wings or LTG ones are way worst.

of course i feel bad for him. he has to not just support his fat butt, his wife's fat butt, and his cat, but also every fat loser that has set up a home in the DSP detractor cottage industry. if he doesn't show up and play games or give the DSP company report every day literally hundreds of people would go hungry, or have to get jobs like they demand he does. That's a lotta pressure for any one man lazy man.

At what point can someone receive too many second chances? He's very clearly aware of his status(see the 2AM call with Wings) and he has had several people not only show him what he's doing is wrong, but options to change as well. He has refused or squandered all of them. A man's empathy can only run so far. At what point do you throw up your hands and say "This man's beyond saving"?
Here, let's say you owned a sandwich shop, mmkay? And there was this customer you knew who came in every day after he got paid and spent all his money on your sandwiches. You might tell him after a while "Dude, you sure you don't need this money for back taxes or a honeymoon or something?" And he tells you "What are you, stupid? Give me my fuckin' sandwiches!" So you shrug and give him his sandwiches. Cause that's what you do, right? You're a sandwich shop after all, tuhuh. I mean sure, you might feel bad the first time that he's coming in and spending all your money, but after the third week, fourth, fifth, sixthseventheightninthtenthhuhhuhhuhhuhuh... ...Ya get it? It becomes routine. You realize there's no saving this prick through outside means, and he's either gonna eat himself into a second bankruptcy or he's gonna realize for himself that he can't keep spending money on sandwiches. But you've seen firsthand other employees try to not take his order and all he does is get mad and order them even harder than before. I might feel sorry for him if he ever learned from anything. It's one thing to fuck up, even fuck up repeatedly, but it's another thing to refuse to learn from anything. It's not like he lost viewers and relevancy, and started appreciating his supporters- he still just views them as wallets to empty, and treats them like shit. He didn't go through bankruptcy, and realize his spending was out of control, and that he needed to make changes. Nothing can penetrate his ego and stubborn refusal to learn from his mistakes.
Pity is wasted on people who won't help themselves, and Phil deserves it even less than most, because he is mentally competent enough to be fully responsible for his life.

Even if you come to the conclusion that "This man's beyond saving", it doesn't mean that I would not feel bad at all laughing at his misery, well I do most of the time but sometimes I get this surge of empathy and realize everyone is human and we all suffer.
But in the case of DSP the main reason I feel bad for him is that the guy is severely mentally challenged, he is not LTG where he is fully aware and kind of plays into his character but still takes it seriously, DSP legit thinks he is the good guy. It also feels kind of weird to enjoy seeing him SUFFER, I am not selling him sandwiches to make money or feed my family.
I don't think you can use the words mentally competent when speaking about someone who got into bankruptcy spending thousands of dollars in a WWE gacha mobile game.

I'm not making money off of it either. If you're accusing me of mocking someone who is severely mentally disabled, look at where you are - This entire website was founded from mocking an autist who took his drawings of Sonichu too seriously. Lolcows are characterized by their inability to improve, and Phil is a textbook lolcow.
Personally, I don't necessarily think Phil is mentally disabled to a point of cognitive decline(Gin was a far larger player in that particular category) or inability - He owns a house, can drive a car, understands basic politics(Even if only through the lens of "Everyone bad in the world are just like my trolls"), can purchase groceries, etc., he just thinks it all has to do with him. Basically if he's competent to stand trial in a legal proceeding, he's fair game.
Also, Phil's so-called "Misery" is being forced to play video games poorly to a small but loyal fanbase of actual retards. That hardly sounds like suffering in this day and age.

Sure you can. He may be an idiot, but he's not actually disabled in any way. He makes terrible choices, and is arguably an addict, but he doesn’t have any sort of diminished capacity. He knows what he's doing, and actively chooses to do it. He may not enjoy the results of his choices, but he is still actively making those choices.
He's not like someone like Daniel Larson who is so mentally ill, and borderline retarded that they can't understand what they're doing.

Okay dude, you keep going on with this ridiculousness. Phil was valedictorian of his high school and a college graduate. He's not smart but he's also definitely not "severely mentally challenged". He often SOUNDS dumb these days because he's a delusional narcissist who thinks he's an expert on every subject and has an endless platform to spout bullshit, but why would you feel sorry for him because he's an asshole?
Phil is one of the least sympathetic lolcows BECAUSE he actively chooses to be a dick to everyone when he could easily just...not. He could NOT lie about every single thing, like his wife and parents being near death. Anyone who does that does not deserve sympathy or pity. He's just not a good person.

Another thing that kind of makes me feel bad for him is that he is 44 and looks 60 with those flapping jowels and weird mushy face, I agree on the opinion he takes an ozempic like drug. It's also probably spot on that he denies taking ozempic because the drugs name is not ozempic and in his mind it's an EPIC WIN over the detractors because he is not technically lying.

I'm not going to neuter my thought because someone else said it first. But yet you manage to find the ONE person who agreed with you and used that as the standard. Phil does that.
I COULD feel bad for him but I don't. He is able to recognize his situation and refuses to better himself.
His face is fucked up because of heavy alcohol usage. I know you hate to hear it but that's his fault.
