Also, on his day stream, he once again refused to do a nuzlocke run in any Pokemon game, saying he doesn't have enough experience and wants to experience the games as they are first. But Phil...how many more fucking Pokemon games do you have to play to realize they're all basically the same game with similar rules? Pokemon is very consistent with its type matchups. You could just...take any game and apply those rules to it. God forbid he ever do anything fun, though. He doesn't want to challenge himself because he hates games. He just wants money.
If he really had any balls, he'd bring back Rebirth and finish it in time for the final installment of the Remake games. Nobody wants to watch him play FFVI. You can watch the TIHYDP of the last time he played it to see just how insufferable and stupid he is with a physical guide on hand to help him.
I've been watching VODs of Aris/Avoiding the Puddle play Souls games lately, and he said something that really cemented him in my mind as the anti-Phil in terms of streaming. Paraphrasing here, but it was during a Dark Souls SL1 attempt from a couple years ago. Paraphrasing, but basically he says, "Every time I've ever done anything just for the money---a money match, a tournament, a job---it's always gone really badly for me. So I can't do things just for money. Which is a good thing, because it's the kind of attitude that drives someone to do things that make them happy."
And Aris does actually seem like he's happy and enjoying himself, and he plays what he likes or sounds interesting to him. It's what makes his streams fun to watch. Even when he's banning people for no reason, or being bitchy about the state of video games, it's such a night and day difference, because he's not this vacuous vortex of negativity like Phil is. He jokes about his gout. He makes himself look like a stoner PS1 Hagrid with his face cam. Phil could learn a lot from Aris, but he takes himself too seriously. Embarrassment hurts him too much.
