He played it in PC but since the game is published by Sony it needs psn even on PC, so if psn goes down the PC version also goes down. Though in this case it was the actual beta that was down not psn.

FF13 has its moments and I don't think it deserves quite as much hate as it typically gets, but I'm not going to sit here while you slander FF4 and to a lesser extent FF3. FF5? Yeah, besides creating the concept of taking one job's ability to another job it's pretty bland. Seinfeld Syndrome.
