Yeah I've been watching Aris too, he's effortlessly entertaining. Going back to Phil, I hear his DS2 873rd playthrough is pretty lit but he is still mostly so bad at fighting running is his best, safest choice and it takes him ages to clear anything. He's effortlessly dull, in every sense of the word.
BTW, as a fighting game player his Tokon criticism is full of shit. He said Wolverine is slow and, I mean, his recovery isn't great, but his impact frames, the impact frames he was complaining about were 6-8, which is ABSOLUTELY impossible to react to, and on par with the fastest Street Fighter buttons that hit low. Mind you this starts combos so if anything it's absolutely murderous. He said Wolverine's crouching short was "The slowest low attack he's ever seen."
For reference his main Drunka's fastest move in SF6 is 4 frames, which is pretty fucking fast. SF6 seems to have done away with 3 frame buttons, so 4 is the absolute fastest. Streamlining the game and doing away with a lot of matchup specific stuff and characters you just couldn't pressure on wakeup without risking death and the like. But Phil here tells us he can ABSOLUTELY tell the difference between a 6 frame and a 4 frame just by ear. Again, keep in mind, Blanka's low-hitting fastest button is 5 frames, and gives nothing. Wolverine's is 6 and gives a combo. Does that sound like "The slowest low attack ever"?
Regarding the Raw Phil stuff, we've been in this cycle before. Every time the pig takes down a big troll figure, his metrics tank a little more. Good luck appealing to the absolute bottom of the dent barrel with your pokemon grift, kang. If anything I'm a little surprised how easy and convenient he made it to stop following him at all, which as a streamer is something you absolutely do not want to do.

He's really made it super easy to unplug from the Snortex. All he was good for was background noise and the occasional bout of rage making people go "Haha, this guy is SUCH a fucking idiot, how can he have played games for 20+ years and still be this incompetent?"
Between his choice in games, gingerly, glacial playstyle and the inconvenience of accessing his content at all, he's really culling the FUCK out of his potential viewerbase, while completely shedding his hatedom. You used to have to be retarded to enjoy his stuff. Now you have to be extremely megafucktarded, AND have 4 spare hours just to listen to him loop AND have money. Can't be a big number of people. And that number of people won't be able to keep the pig in the luxury he's grown accustomed to for long, specially if he's setting money ablaze to turn it into cardboard.
