YT - Bonus short update from Barb 09/04/2020

There is no life in those eyes. Sure part of it could be a bit of an act but she's well past her due date as far as her mind goes.

I'm not really understanding how he got the body to move so realistically like that. Is there some kind of electro mechanical system or is it just fishing line and an old audio recording? I'll give him this - he had me fooled for a minute into thinking she's actually still alive! Bravo
That's just Chris' amazing telekinetic powers.

Yeah I still stand by my statement from the "What will happen when Barb dies" thread, she looks and sounds more sick each time that nutcase records her and he still refuses to take her to a doctor to get checked out.

I still have a feeling in my gut that Barb has suffered a stroke, I've done volunteering at a care home for elderly people before when I was in and out of college as part of my health and social care course and a lot of the elderly patients who have had strokes act the way Barb does. What scares me is that she will be severely ill one day and Chris will just ignore her cries and let the situation become worse for her. I know Barb hasn't been the best person but she doesn't deserve to be treated the way Chris does to her.

Well... If it makes you feel any better, I’m sure that weens are on top of this, and are calling social workers on a regular basis to report on Barb’s condition.

(Yes, that was a joke but I’m being semi-serious here.)

Chris has taken Barb to the hospital when she asked him to. https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Discord#Barbara.27s_trip_to_the_ER

He's just not going to do it every time an armchair doctor tells him she's at death's door when she's telling him she's fine.

My theory is he's used his powers to separate her heart from her body, thereby denying her the sweet release of death. Presumably he's keeping the heart somewhere in that mountain of garbage.

Medicaid has asset rundown requirements before you're considered eligible. I don't know what it's like in Virginia specifically, but a lot of states cap that at around $10k which means you can't own a home. It's a liberal tactic to make sure wealth can't be passed on so that blacks have a chance to catch up and eventually enslave whites. I also don't know how debt is considered when calculating medicaid eligibility.
You can own a home. The limits allow for stuff like a home and a not very valuable automobile. Medicaid could get a lien when she died, but that does not matter. Chris is a certified "r-person" so Barb could transfer all her assets to a trust for Chris. She has no countable assets though. Her income would be the only factor because all of their collectibles were looted by greedy firemen. Transferring to Chris would require hiring an elder law attorney, which would eat up more money that she does not have.

She is not in a nursing home because she does not want to be there. The county checks on her and is okay with her at home. We know that people have called social services about Barb. That may not be the case in the future. Barb in a home is terrible for Chris. She can protect her assets, but her income would go to private pay or to medicaid if she is eligible. Chris would have to pay all the bills on his own. It would be his tugboat covering everything. He would go into foreclosure and then beg for thousands of dollars, which he would probably get and then spend on magic rocks and whores on patreon that make poorly drawn horse porn.

You're absolutely right, I checked in to VA's requirements and took a screenshot of it since I find this stuff fascinating. Looks like as long as Barb lives Chris will continue to have a home to live in

She's not dead yet but it's sort of a stretch to call her alive.

Plot twist, these are all prerecorded, Barb died back in 2018. I'll take my academy award now.

Wow Barb looks awful. What if he just ignores her to the point it becomes criminal? There's have been a few cases where the elderly victim was left to stew in their filth to the point maggots start crawling out of them (while still alive). After the ambulance takes the poor old lady out their adult children were carted away to jail. Hope it never comes to that.

I miss the days where Barb was cantankerous. Over the phone, you can hear her annoyance and anger when trolls call the house at 12 AM. She is a shell of her former self.

That Barb is still living in 14BC in such filthy cluttered conditions and that she is in the state she is in is more her fault than Chris'. She's willing chosen and fought tooth and nail to be where she is, live the way she does, and by extention to become what she has become. She threatened to commit suicide every time Chris and Bob tried to suggest cleaning the hoard. Even when 14BC catching fire forced the hoards removal, she fought tooth and nail to have ALL OF IT brought back the moment she and Chris were allowed to return even though most of it was severely damaged in the blaze. Mind you this of course does not excuse Chris neglecting her. But at the same time Barb has become so attached to her hoard that I honestly, truly believe that at this point even though it is killing her, she also literally cannot survive without it.

If Chris were to suddenly grow a backbone and threw out every single bag, box, and bit of Barb's share of the hoard no matter how much Barb protested, she would throw such a fit that she'd either die of a heart attack or actually kill herself. Hell, even if someone were to come along and put Barb in the cleanest, best, and most expensive assisted living home that money can buy I guarantee you she'd be dead the very next day. The stress from the drastic change in her living conditions would kill her. So point is that there's no path that leads to Barb getting better or healthier. She will either die surrounded by her hoard or die in the hospital begging to be taken back to it.
