At first I wasn't convinced either, 'cos Barb's a notoriously manipulative witch. But if the actual intent was for Barb to ham up how sick she is for pity points, then wouldn't Chris have just turned it into another begging video? He sounds genuinely impatient about getting everyone to shut up about her health/her impending reunion with soil. Barb's basically Skeletor at this point.

Probably because just having her there calms him. He's autistic. He probably carries her around like a 5 year old carries a blanket

Remember even as far back as Bobs death, Bob opted for CHRIS* to be the inheritor of the Chandlers financial control. Not Barb. I think that says a lot of how Barb was then, and it's only gotten worse since.

*Of course barb could have wrangled the finances back away pretty easily for the Hoard.

That, and she's a nearly 79 year-old woman whose autistic crossdresser son shoved a camera in her face, told her the internet wanted to know if she was ok, and said go.

Is Barb going to be running a marathon or anything? No. Does she have dementia/Alzheimer's/any of the other disorders and diseases people have been speculating that she has for the past 6 years? Probably not.
