Also unless you are Vegatales The Prince of Egypt. Its hard to produce a Christian animated movie. They were lucky to get it into theaters.

FTFY. Mind you, the VeggieTales movie bombed because they bit off more than they could chew.

Wait, the VeggieTales movie came out in Theaters? I aways thought it was a direct to DVD movie. And what I ment was the VeggieTales CGI is the only christain movie that has good CGI.

Anyways,
Was Travis Pro-Vic or Kickvic?

To my knowledge, Travis Willingham or his wife, Laura Bailey, have not made a statement one way or the other (smart move).

Speaking of VAs who stay silent, I had Texas VA Rachael Messer on as background noise in the shop. I came in late but I think a big chunk of the stream was how some game dev that she was voice acting for paid the other VAs working on the project, but not her. And she alternated between angry and ugly crying. Not relevant, though it shows the VA community is a backstabbing dumpster fire.

But here's some interesting bits. She alludes to a "situation" that she's never addressed, which fits the whole Vic thing. I don't thing I've ever seen or heard her comment on it. It starts at roughly 57:15

The video is 120MB, and apparently KF doesn't like that. If someone can upload a copy to KF proper that'd be swell.

"There's already examples of people being silent about other voice actors' behaviors because it will affect their careers. There's a certain situation that I've never addressed, in any way, shape, or form, from some actors in a company, and ocassionally somebody comes in and says "she works for that company, so she must endorse that behavior." And I'm like I had nothing to do with any of that fucking shit. I have no fucking--I watched what went on the same way everyone else on twitter watched what went on. But they think that because I work for the company that I'm endorsing that kind of behavior when most of the time a lot of voice actors now have to be quiet about that kind of thing because if you come out... one it didn't involve me... by me coming out it would just be a viewer's opinion. Which is fine. As a voice actor coming out with a viewer's opinion would seem more biased. People would just naturally go "Well she's a voice actor so she must know more behind the scenes." And I know every little behind the scenes that wasn't exposed publicly in that whole fucking thing.
She makes an argument that Vic was making, that because Monica and Jamie worked in the industry, their "opinions" had more weight than Joe Blow the Weeb... and people would perceive it that way.

And then:

Messer: But you know people were quiet about and are still quiet about a lot of that shit because you'll get terminated, you'll get fired, you'll get blacklisted. And it shouldn't be that. There shouldn't be that person that's allowed to go around saying "women who dress like this deserve to be raped at conventions. They're just secretly asking for it." And the conversation, as he went on with this, continued into, "they're secretly asking for it, but when you try to do something they're just dramatic and they like attention." And he was legimately serious. I thought for a second he had to be trolling, but no he was legimately serioust about it.

SidAlpha: No, guys, don't assume this is about any specific person.

Messer: Everybody's guessing shit now.

Wonder who that VA could be. I know Vic has shifted a little in tone as of late to the effect of "these people are defaming me for attention," I but I don't think he was ever accused of saying if she dresses like a thot, rape her like a thot.

Also, by their Fancon pages, Messer and Vic both attended Soonercon 2016, and that was their only time together at a con. I don't see Vic going up to someone he just met and saying that.

Rachael Messer is credited as additional voices in Zodiac Wars, the one anime Vic ever directed.

So I haven't seen Secondhand Lions. But looking up the cast Travis played a character named Hood?
Also, I forget, was Travis pro- Vic or kickvic?

The Star came to theaters and I think it did ok. Plus it's cute and actually a good Christian animated movie.

Oh was it good? The animation looked cheap compared to everything else that came out (Sony Pictures Animation I think gave it to a B-team or something tbh) and talking animals when it comes to the Nativity weird me out so I never saw it.

God, just imagine The Small One coming out nowadays instead of when it did. Or The Small One being remade. (:_(

So, Vic went around saying that cosplayers deserve to get raped? That's a new one.

To be fair, she didn't directly mention Vic, but I think it's pretty clear she's talking about him.

I just can't imagine Vic ever saying anything like that, not even in different words. There's no way.

Could be Vic, could be someone else. Again, I question the fact that if Vic really was this type of human being that he would say this to a woman he'd just met. This was their first time meeting at a con. Vic might've directed her as additional voices for Zodiac Wars, which was late 2018.

And, again, she mentions blacklisting/firing, etc. She seems to have a finger on the pulse of the VA community degeneracy, and she should know Vic has literally no power other than having a Risembool fanclub.

Likely because Willingham and Bailey are: a) highly talented actors who have their share of roles across multiple media; b) have their own in-group that's both fairly well-insulated and well paid (hi crit roll); and c) Bailey in particular has been burned by VA Unions in the past. In particular it's affected her video game roles, for example having to go uncredited as Lucina in all her appearances and losing her role as Kid Trunks

I have no idea why people think she'd be talking about Vic here. She doesn't name or hint at who it is, and if it were about Vic it would obviously be a lie. If Vic said this about cosplayers to someone he barely met, he'd definitely say it to people like @Svetlana and @EriMin and probably others like Squally and Stan, too. He'd 100% discuss this kind of thing with Monica, and she would 100% have used it against him over the past year, even if it were out of context or a joke. Personally, I get the strong feeling this is actually someone like Sabat. The phrasing she uses (and the fact that she says outing him would get her blacklisted) matches the kind of speech pattern I've seen of people quoting Sabat's kind of casual conversation. It also fits his two-faced behavior, the talk of him actually disdaining/looking down on fans, and the fact that he's actually been banned from certain cons for inappropriate behavior toward minors/fans/cosplayers, implying he might feel entitled to behave that way.

I don't think Vic would ever say anything like that. If anything that sounds like a Sabat or Douglas thing. Of course I have heard some pretty risque things from other VAs so it isn't anything new.

The animation actually isn't that bad. And yes it's very good, teetering on precious. What's great about it is it tells the birth story in a way that's relatable and doesn't shove religion down your throat. It doesn't even feel like a Christian movie and it's a good story. I expected it to suck and was pleasantly surprised.
