Something that really pisses me off about her despite living in NYC without working for it in the first place is that she hasn't even taken advantage of it.

16 year old me, who was a total fucking retard, may have daydreamed of moving there on a whim. Because it is one of the worldwide centres of music I loved then and still do nearly 25 years later. There are shows most nights, amazing record stores (semper fi daddy Glio, who knew he was being laughed at in his suit til he started reading my shopping lists and they'd want to know where foreign teenage girls were finding these bands, the internet fuckers). Its a paradise for people who are nerdy in one of the ways I am.

But Vicky did it for nothing. If she'd actually bothered with her degree that would count, but she didn't, so it doesn't. Not only does it show her privilege for being able to do that shit on mummy and daddy's dime. It shows a bleak emptiness.

I'm sure most of us could pinpoint a couple of locations we'd move to given infinite resources for its overlap with our own tastes in arts and culture. And have all the experiences on offer, cos who the fuck doesn't when its right there. She didn't. Have we ever heard of a single gig, exhibition, history tour (I never got to the tenement museum, don't even know if its still there, but if it is its on my list if I ever make it back across the Atlantic), whatever, that she's been to? I don't recall. She's squandered her time in NYC- not just from the perspective of it being the time in your life you get freedom, but also make yourself, but from specifically her being NYC for it.

Everytime she posts about being a New Yorker I can't help but wonder what exactly she does in the city besides occupy space. She wasn't going to any of the popular music clubs, she wasn't supporting any of the sports teams, and she definitely wasn't visiting any of the landmarks.

Vicky is the type of New Yorker that eats Domino's.

I think the whole reason for the wheelchair schtick etc. is that Vicki felt anxious about how much there is to do and see in NYC, especially since she couldn't make friends and wasn't getting invited anywhere. I think she finds it very intimidating and feels like she doesn't belong, so she made herself "sick enough" that she now has excuses. Of course I love New York and all it has to offer, but curse this illness that makes it impossible to do all the things I would totally absolutely do if I were only healthy!

It's part of a broader pattern of weaponizing disability (and the poonery/gay bullshit, by extension) to avoid experiencing even the slightest discomfort or accountability for her antics, flimsy sense of self, and insecurities... why doesn't she have a life outside herself, why is she single, why hasn't she hit x milestone in her adult life, why is she still in college / failing x course, why isn't she close to family, why can't she clean up after herself, etc. Same as all the other munchie girls, using some untouchable identity to shield themselves against criticism and adult responsibilities.

And while this may not be known to her non NYC audience, it's still pathetic to use disability as an excuse to avoid taking advantage of NYC. There is a whole division of civil services dedicated to disability resources https://www.nyc.gov/site/mopd/resources/resources.page and countless mutual aid groups and public / private organizations dedicated to improving the welfare and sociability of the disabled community via outreach and assistance. There are a lot of very good-intentioned (and outright naive) people here who wouldn't question half of Vicki's antics or story. Most art and cultural organizations also have resources dedicated to ADA compliance and access, and this information can easily be found online so you can even plan your outings. It's straight up retarded.... why pay a premium to live here and still make no effort to have a life? She could move home or move to Mars and her life would essentially be the same, her social media would be the same. The only clue would be a ramping up of new doctor's appointments if she found a new regional healthcare system to terrorize.

It’s kind of crazy how she thinks she shouldn’t have to change anything about herself or inconvenience herself in any way. Like maybe you should work on coping mechanisms for your autistic meltdowns, or try to be less of a “night owl” so that you’re on everyone else’s schedule like a normal, functioning adult. She's on her X account constantly talking about her sexuality with regard to her FTM transgender identity while she literally pushes children to go through irreversible medical transition procedures in the same breath.
