Thanks for the inspiring words Kristine.

I wish Kristine would get "kidnapped" by these "thugs". I honestly wish Trump was the dictator they're all saying he is because finally I'd be free of them.

I have two friends that are more or less part of the insane left. They've always wanted to flee to Europe to get away from the tyranny of America, going back to the George W. Bush era. Of course they've never actually gone and done it. But now that they can't it's just a whole other level of a problem for them and how could Donald Trump do this to them?

I want to go to Europe some day because I'm a huge history buff, and I'd love to see all the museums and famous artifacts and whatnot. That being said, I don't think I'd want to go right now, to put it mildly.

Hitler turned a country ravaged by war and debt into a country powerful enough to hold its own weight against multiple world superpowers. Are they implying its a good thing?
Reminder that these are the same people who shit on healthcare for being so fucking expensive and keep exclaiming their love for countries like Sweden and Canada, but the moment medicine prices are halved in America, that's a bad thing because... Trump did it????

That one BabylonBee article was never satire.

Although one of the bot's posts in particular stood out

Unless there's something I'm not understanding, wouldn't invoking the 25th Amendment make Pence, the one and only person who's objectively worse than DRumpf, president?

At least he's not Trump.

Speaking of Pence, he's the best insurance policy I've seen. Either the guy who is chill with you, orientation-wise, so long as you don't do anything dumb or the guy with a look that screams murder and has his own open sentiments about a certain prideful bunch.

Pretty neat trade deal right there.

Not sure I understand. Pharma are those big corporations they want to destroy. 2 birds and all that.
You could argue that reducing the revenues of pharmaceutical companies could affect their ability to research and produce covid-19 medications. But these companies were already making such a large profit from their high prices that they can probably survive any reductions that would come from this executive order.

Just curious, but when profits for these companies are calculated is it just the manufacturing costs of the drug subtracted from price, or do they include failed drug development as well as the years of research and FDA approval?

Very unlikely to include the failures and R&D + FDA approvals, but presumably portions of the profits are intended to cover those losses.

Oh, and someone has to pay for European freeloading.

That's exactly true. Like Hollywood studios, a company's successful drug is intended to cover for a lot of unsuccessful ones.

And like Hollywood studios, there's plenty of shady practices going on too.
