💬 Off-Topic Transgender Legislation and Litigation

Alex is writing his own narrative when he claims the victim only pressed charges when his friends laughed at him for being with a tranny. The truth is the tranny told the victim what he is and then the victim pressed charges.

Regardless of how hideous and obviously male he was, it's better to have a blanket policy. We definitely don't want courts deciding if someone was ugly enough that you brought your rape on yourself.

I'm glad that this was taken seriously and charged as it should be. Especially since he actively lied, he didn't just not bring it up and coast by on bad judgement.

I mean, the guy should've reasonably figured out it's a dude since he doesn't pass for shit. But Alex will never admit that's the only real valid argument here.
This is in the UK, so there's good odds he was just shy of blackout drunk. Beer goggles are real. Also, it's the UK, so it's not exactly like they're awash with super pretty and feminine women for him to compare that swamp creature against to begin with.

From the SRS horrors thread:
Massachusetts makes the complaint available online, no account needed. A Cetrulo (phalloplasty surgeon and Boston gender "doctor") victim is suing him and Mass. General for a botched dog of the "delayed abdominal phalloplasty" variety (using skin from the torso instead of flaying an arm/leg I think?).

The victim is suing for negligence, emotional harm, and failure to get informed consent. The wife is suing for loss of consortium. The court is allowing them to proceed as John and Jane Doe.

Some fun facts from the complaint:
  • Mass. General produced a "phalloplasty welcome packet" (horrifying). I found it online and there are ZERO mentions of the complication rate of phalloplasty throughout the entire document.
  • The plaintiff decided she was not done and went and sought out a "revision phalloplasty" instead of just calling it quits.
  • The attorneys say they may make a claim under Massachusetts General Laws 93A later on. This is a consumer protection law against deceptive trade practices. They probably saw what the FTC was up to with youth gender medicine and decided to follow suit? Would be cool
I would love to see some consequences but also have a haunting feeling that if these people get any money out of Cetrulo or Mass. General they will just turn around and give it to some other butcher for revisions.

The wife is suing for loss of consortium.

They're both women, I wonder what sort of "consortium" she thought she'd be getting from her wife's rotdog even if it was "successful."

Oh. Upon skimming the complaint:

They apparently thought PIV would be forthcoming, woe, alas.

Yep. If anything, they'd be like, "you were sexually assaulted, dude." In my state, they passed a law that punishes the dude if he discovers the troon mid-blowjob or something and hits them. The reaction to being sexually assaulted by some nasty fucking dude must take their "identity" as a vulnerable person into account, I guess.

Meanwhile, stealthing has legislative backing as an offense, but only condoms, not entire sexes. This is after some dude killed this young trans-identified male after finding out during the act, I think. How about we tell men to not dupe straight men into homosexual encounters they aren't consenting to?

The law they passed just reinforced this as something men should be allowed to do to other men. It's fucking insanity. And of course no laws on the books against it. One could only hope the laws would consider the deception a violation of consent, but given our laws outline "gender identity" and all variations of the nonsense as sacred, I doubt it.
Good that the dude masquerading as a chick is getting properly punished for raping the dude.
Seriously. And Fat Al and these troons drive me NUTS with the rape apologia. The idea that this rapist dude is the endangered one in jail and not the fucking sexual predator. Ugh. "OMG, of course they'll put him on a sex offender registry, all because he sexually violated someone?"

I mentioned in another thread that yeah how much alcohol did he consume to be fooled by that tranny once they met in person. My opinion is this that tranny should be held for responsible for sexual assault for lying about his gender, but I also feel no sympathy for the victim because dude like how did you not know.

My best guess is he had the trifecta of face blindness, visionally impaired before drinking, and beer goggles, because I can't see any other way he could have not known.

It looks like OPM is going ahead with its implementation of Trump's EO and banning all hormone and surgical treatments for government health plans, including for adults, starting in CY2026.

Relevant quotes, emphasis mine:

For Plan Year 2026, chemical and surgical modification of an individual's sex
traits through medical interventions (to include “gender transition” services)
will no longer be covered under the FEHB or PSHB Programs. This exclusion
expands upon Carrier Letter 2025-01a and applies regardless of age
As an exception, counseling services for possible or diagnosed gender
dysphoria must still be covered. Covered counseling services must be
provided by a licensed mental health provider and may include those who
provide faith-based counseling.
Provider directories must not list or otherwise recognize providers for the
purposes of providing chemical and surgical modification of an individual's
sex traits
.

Here is a link and a pdf is attached.

Erin/Tony Reed is not taking this well (link, archive).

The conversion therapy claim is a lie - the only requirement is for covered services to be conducted by a licensed professional and inclusion of any faith based counseling is at the plan's discretion.

Repeating a lie does not make it true Tony!

What does faith-based counseling even mean in this case? Because from what I know conversion therapy is banned. I'm assuming it's referring to the 'god made a man and a woman' kind of counseling.

It means either a mostly normal therapist who does his work from a biblical model but at a clinic, or perhaps a pastor who may be licensed as a counselor in one way or another but whose primary business association is a church and not a mental health clinic, so there’s a way to code for it. Not looking beyond what was posted here, it looks like it means you’re free to see the therapist that works with your family’s values and there’s a way for the plan to cover it.

Very boring and actually a good thing.

Typical Tony bullshit.

"The sweeping prohibition affects health benefits for more than 10 million Federal workers, and their family members, marking one of the largest rollbacks of transgender healthcare access in U.S. history"

It'd only affect 10 million Federal workers and their family members if they all decided to become trannies and I don't really see that degree of insanity occurring in the Federal workforce..

The FTC has a month left for the public comments regarding gender-affirming care for minors. And then after the period is over we wait for the news.

In honor of Trans-Identifying People worldwide, I will be edging until then, at which point I will release the biggest cooooooooooooom of my life.

/sneed

And I realize you asked a bit about the FTC’s potential effects here a while ago, but I don’t really have an answer. I’m not sure everything the FTC does, simply that in my own career, they regulate a lot of what I do, and mistakes are very expensive. I have to stop what I’m doing and make sure I’m in compliance with FTC rules every day; you do not want them breathing down your neck like that. That said, I’m grateful for their oversight.

The big issue I see is that “Gender Affirming Care” isn’t its own industry with its own regulations, it’s mostly part of the medical industry, but then what do you do about peripheral crap that claims to be part of “GAC”; like do we consider a binder a “medical device” now, or is it just a specialty bra? Bras are not regulated like medical devices are, but if you start selling a bra and advertising untrue things about how people will just know you’re a man now, I don’t even know where to begin with that. So much of it is so new that they’re going to have to actually answer the question, can a person change their biological sex? They cannot, and the FTC will have to start cracking down on medical professionals who advertise that you can. If we don’t outright ban trans surgeries ever for adults, then the FTC will have to determine the rules on what is said and how GAC is advertised. You will probably not be able to call it a “sex change operation” for example, and while that term is no longer in favor, it’s used commonly enough that you should expect to see fines in the tens of thousands of dollars if a doctor calls it a “sex change” when consulting patients.

And that’s just what we’d expect to see happen on the doctor side, I have no idea at all what will happen when trans activists with material connections to GAC-and-periphery providers/suppliers are out there saying that men can become women. If the FTC determines that is not a statement that can be made in advertising, and then they also start cracking down on undisclosed ads, it could be a huge mess, and I really don’t envy the staff at the FTC who will have to figure it all out, but oh YESSSSSSSS I am looking forward to the consequences. I wouldn’t be surprised if the FTC has to put together a special task force/working group to deal with trans bullshit on top of their normal work.

That's one of the problems with it that a lot of people have been misled to believe the gender medicine is regulated. One of the biggest lies it that they are telling people is that it is 'safe and effective' rather than revealing it's an unregulated wild west area of medicine.

I'd imagine it would get renamed something that implies the procedures are only cosmetic and don't actually do anything to change them into the opposite sex. Whatever happens it might get all insurance companies to remove the parts that deal with gender medicine.

but oh YESSSSSSSS I am looking forward to the consequences
All of us in this thread are looking forward to the consequences, and the preceding screeching on Twitter/X and Bluesky.

That's one of the problems with it that a lot of people have been misled to believe the gender medicine is regulated.

It’s a problem with self-regulating professions. Doctors aren’t regulating these procedures, so the legislature has to step in.

As an adjacent example, veterinarians locally have prohibited cosmetic surgery on pets, including tail docking and declaws. But doctors still allow titty chops. 😡

Continue to pretend these people "pass" and the more will be convicted.

If you're so drunk you think that's a woman, you deserve what you get and hopefully give up alcohol.

No, he didn't deserve to be raped by deception, any more than people who are scammed deserve to lose their life savings. Rapists bear the moral responsibility for raping, just as scammers bear the moral responsibility for scamming.

The rapist knew the victim thought the rapist's sex was female, otherwise the rapist's avoiding genital sex by saying he was 'on his period' would not make sense.

Some trans people don't reveal their sex precisely because they know that sex matters and that their target would turn down having sex with them if they knew.
