It's just ridiculous anti AI faggotary, which is doubly ironic when one of the most popular characters of the series is a robot. And considering it's a placeholder, it's arguably more artistic when a writer gives a placeholder according to his vision, than commission the art based on vague descriptions. It's pointless, bad taste and shouldn't had been happened in the first place. Might as well as add nothing at all and give the work to Atlus. The fact that they are including that in the assets means that they support the extermination of the arts and culture.
So don't play the gacha. Every gacha fanbase are 24/7 either malding that characters aren't strong enough, or that they are power creeping. It's just tiring. The issue is that the weaker units were already in the Chinese version a year to a couple months ago. It would make a lot of sense to release Miku unnerfed in China, but when unnerfed Miku gets out to the Global version, you're pretty much semi-invalidating a character that has been released a single month ago and another that isn't even out yet.
This is not power creep, this is "you wasted your money ahahaha" sort of disturbing mismanagement.
