The Shin Megami Tensei/Persona Thread

It's pointless, bad taste and shouldn't had been happened in the first place. Might as well as add nothing at all and give the work to Atlus. The fact that they are including that in the assets means that they support the extermination of the arts and culture.
It's just ridiculous anti AI faggotary, which is doubly ironic when one of the most popular characters of the series is a robot. And considering it's a placeholder, it's arguably more artistic when a writer gives a placeholder according to his vision, than commission the art based on vague descriptions.

The issue is that the weaker units were already in the Chinese version a year to a couple months ago. It would make a lot of sense to release Miku unnerfed in China, but when unnerfed Miku gets out to the Global version, you're pretty much semi-invalidating a character that has been released a single month ago and another that isn't even out yet.

This is not power creep, this is "you wasted your money ahahaha" sort of disturbing mismanagement.
So don't play the gacha. Every gacha fanbase are 24/7 either malding that characters aren't strong enough, or that they are power creeping. It's just tiring.

Considering the price for the Raidou remaster, there was no justification for not making it both games. That is why I didn't buy it and am waiting for a sub-$20 CAD sale to buy it, or I will just emulate both games.

They were all overpriced and hard to sell.

Nocturne hd is a 20 year old easily emulated port that still has compressed ps2 audio and atlus wanted 50 dollars + 10 to play dante.

Soul hackers 1 was an obscure 3ds port of a 1997 game. Soul hackers 2 being full price was insanity considering it's very low budget, and then they asked day 1 demon dlc and quest dlc.

Raidou hasn't seen the light of day in 15 years, then atlus decides to announce a sudden remaster of only the first game (that is on the shorter side) and release it 3 months later.

It's weird that sega/atlus talk about "building a strong fanbase who will automatically buy the next product" but the persona fanbase are not like the yakuza or sonic fans, they're not going to buy unrelated games just cause jack frost is on it.

If they had fixed the music I think I would have been okay with the price but alas its compressed fully, still upset over Dante as I heard they buffed the shit out of him and made him actually usable.

-Persona 5 royal (2020) doesn't include vanilla and is unsurprisingly sega's best seller, but it's curious how it's a consistent seller every year. I'm sure the PC and switch 2 release helped but it's still crazy to see it sell this much 6 years later. No wonder atlus keeps milking the cow.
Atlus isnt shy about discounting and putting games on sale. You could buy Royal on Steam for 12 bux a few months ago. Persona 3 Reloaded is easily found at 20 bucks now. Same with Vengeance.

On the Switch, you can on occasion get Royal for 15 bucks

Whats surprising is they arent letting Metaphor hit the 20 dollar sku point yet.

Also Royal went on Game pass for Playstation and Atlus got a check for that too.

Atlus got a bunch of sales going on with huge discounts on SMT and Persona stuff. I just picked up both SMTV w/DLC and Persona 5 Royal for about 40 bucks.

The difficulty jumps for some of the bosses in Digital Devil Saga are ridiculous, so I spent yesterday grinding to get the magic needed to neutralize the one I was up against, and then it was hilariously easy. I think the amounts of Macca needed to level up mantras needed some tweaking, or they needed to tie character level into opening them up, or something, because getting the Macca needed to get the buffs/debuffs/spells needed sometimes makes you end up gaining 5-10 levels before the boss!

I've beaten them a few times before? I want new, other franchises can't wait to give new, but not this one.
Have you tried Demon Gaze yet?

I remember there was a hallway in the swears were you can farm fairys that gives you a ton of Karma and Macca. Just google Fairy Hallway.

More P5X Gacha slop news if anyone even cares.

P5X collab hell with mainline deepens as Kotone/Hamuko/Minako/P3FeMC is revealed in the Global apology stream.

(China hasn't had a new Synergy/Confidant since 4 to 6 months ago while the Global version is pushing out already existing Phantom Idols like the suicide girl and the nurse girl at around the same period)

At this point sooner or later they are going to get the Love and Deep Space treatment. Mind you the insane LaDS drama isn't just because of the werewolf guy but also they haven't updated main story past the prologue and updated the side stories for two of the guys for 500+ days.
