Well there is the autocephalous OCA (despite the meming from ROCORbros). It would be nice though to have one singular church jurisdiction like the other countries
It's just the unfortunate nature of having the west not in communion and countries that were never under any orthodox church. I would love to have the Catholics come back to communion so the jurisdiction chaos in the west could be sorted out.

The Lord has seemingly blessed our Churches with unprecedented growth in the past year. I have no doubt that, between the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, this week, of all weeks in history, probably has one of the highest volumes in Baptisms in recent history for the apostolic Churches.
Pretty much my church used to be a bunch of old Russian ladies there's still the old Russian ladies but now there's a bunch of young families before that it was a bunch of young bachelors I'm the only unmarried person there I think.
The Catholic Church is generally in my opinion dead regardless of who gets elected Pope.
But for the Catholic Kiwis I generally hope Cardinal Sarah becomes Pope but that's not going to happen because he's actually Catholic and he can't have that

no because God wants you to be self-reliant and also washing your car is a lot like washing your ass is a sense of cleanliness and cleanliness is close to Godliness or something.
You should take care of all the gifts god has given you. To not take care of them is to take them for granted.
That means taking care of the shoes on your feet, the car that you drive around, the room you sleep in, the teeth in your mouth, and every other one of the many gifts God has given you should you choose to look around.

Well, the new pope is just as liberal as the old pope. If you're wondering how to become Orthodox, go through Neos Orthodox Church. And good books to start with would be for the life of the world, the history of the Orthodox Church and Orthodoxy, the religion of the future. They don't. like the third one as much as the first two. Nihilism is also a good book.

The orthodox church is filled with pedophiles too. Every few years in my country there is yet another high profile scandal involving orthodox priests and kiddy diddling.
American converts online seem to love orthodoxy so much because they have no idea what it really is, all they see is trad old architecture + bearded guys with cool robes blessing AKs with holy water.
The orthodox church has just as many problems as the Catholic church does - if you're going to convert to a religion, do it because you've searched your soul and believe it's the right path for you, not because some twitter e-celeb/pinterest moodboard made it seem cool to you, otherwise you're just like a weeaboo who believes Japanese culture has all the answers to the problems of western society.
Main difference between Cats and Orthos on that matter is that Cats put all their ecclesiological eggs in one basket (El papa) and his “infallible” rulings and “indefectible” character. So while neither church is perfect (as no thing is, from the fall to now, sans Christ himself) it’s a bit of an apples and oranges comparison.

As a LatAm, the Antiochian jurisdiction has seemed most welcoming to inquirers to me. (Though I’ve visited the Greek one near me and the old timers were nice enough, though I’m biased by having my greek friend/parishioner as an inroad).

Orthobros, are is your church ok with me loving my people and wanting white homelands? I don't wish violence on anyone, I just want them deported. I want what best for my people and for my children, and I'm fine with helping foreigners where they are within reason. The Catholics are all telling me I'm evil for wanting this because we must help everyone at all costs, even when it hurts our children.

Also is fasting for a month a requirement? I think if I deny my wife meat she will become feral and start eating stuff raw out of the freezer.

That is question for your priest, but we are to deny ourselves to the best we possibly can.

As for the other question, just remember demons can quote scripture as well. There's a difference between sacrificing yourself for the betterment of those around you, and sacrificing those around you to help strangers, if that makes sense.

Hey Ortho-bros, This faggot is literally going from Catholic thread to Catholic thread to try and derail it. He was just banned from the other one for doing the same thing with the same talking points in another thread.
He's looking to whine, complain and ruin Catholic threads like a jeet.

Here's proof

For what it’s worth, commenting on the pope is not restricted to Catholics (insofar as an A&N thread is concerned, the Catholic thread here on Deep Thoughts should be. I imagine he got banned moreso for spamming or fedposting).

Good recs. Insofar as an intro to Orthodoxy, for those of an American Protestant background I always recommend Fr. Trenham’s stuff. The “best” intro to any subject would have to be personalized to an individual (in terms of things like background, intellect, etc.), but the aforementioned are certainly a good place to start.

I received a temporary thread ban from both threads. The reason for both was something along the lines of "race sperging." If it's Catholics only that's fine but the title of the DT thread explicitly says it's for inquirers only. I didn't fed post at all. You could argue it was spam but I only responded to people replying to me. I apolagize for the ugly yellow bold font message, this guy has been following my account, spaming crude photoshops, and mass stickering every post I make since I posted in a pro-white thread. I didn't realize he'd follow me here too. He's not openly religious, he just hates white nationalists and thinks I'm funny. I'll keep my interactions here as brief as possible to avoid encouraging him.

All I want is a church that is ok with me advocating for my people. I don't hate minorities or wish them dead. I'm not a psycho. I'm not going to go to a church and start screaming at the first black guy I see inside. I just love my people.

Is the belief that your spirit lingers on Earth for 40 days after death universal among Orthodox?
It really depends. You see, I'm like Catholics not trying to be too mean to the Catholics. They now have to enjoy a more liberal pope than Francis we have. no problem saying we generally don't know. There's a lot of interpretations on what happens after death.
I genuinely don't know. I assume you ascend to heaven in some way. I don't know. That's fine by me.

There is technically felitism, but that was never actually declared heresy. It was never gone through an actual ecumenical council. We have no problem with people being open racialists in the orthodox church. I'm pretty openly racialistic, and I've never had a ploppal amend it any church.
We do have the Foldam University people though, but no one takes them seriously and they basically laughed at and driven out of every Orthodox circle which they attempt to infiltrate.

Just keep in mind some priests are more liberal than others. I personally never run into liberal Orthodox priests, but apparently they exist.
The three priests sigh no one is a conservative Christian. The other one openly gave a sermon during Covic denouncing the closure of the churches, and the other one is said that he would never, ever give communion to homosexuals or people who are not in communion with the Orthodox Church, which includes all non orthodox Christians..

If you're really trying to steal clear of liberal clergymen, just avoid Greek churches, but I personally have never run into Liberal Greeks. maybe they don't exist in America.

I'm trying to look into both Protestant and Catholicism, reading through the different threads to figure out where my faith lies. Wanted to learn more from Kiwifarms members, since they are real internet people and not Reddit or 4chan faggots,
Every time I have tried earnestly reading the Catholic threads he has derailed them, ranting about whites and saying how much he hates Catholics. I'm not going to argue with him here.

I'm just going to leave a couple of this dudes posts here and let you be the judge if you want to engage with him.

He race-sperged to the point of posting a picture of his own shit-covered hand to prove his whiteness after saying choice things like

And then a moderator @Thé au lait saw him sperging like a retard and cut his hand out and made an exploitable that I'm posting here and leaving on his PFP. His profile is quite the read. I'd give him a search and read his points; he's basically a lolcow himself.

Anyways, have a good one, Orthobros. Sorry for dropping in with a negative off-topic subject; figure'd I'd warn you. Save yourself some time and effort from posting with unserious users!

I haven't read it myself, but there's a volume of patristic quotes, icons, etc. composed by an orthodox monastery that addresses the subject (its over 1,000 pages, making for quite the academic treatment).
There's that plus the Soul After Death (it's on my to read list, which has quickly been piling up).

Almost all of these people are Catholic, but again. Catholics have never been particularly good at argumentation. All of those basically. boils down to trying to kill you, but then again, it's more of a money laundering slash human trafficking cult rather than a religion at this point. By the way, the Catholics knew Pope covered up child molestation. So go back to worshiping your pedophile, enabling anti American scummy Antichrist of a religious leader.

How much variation is there amongst orthodox churches? Is it like how protestant churches are separated into different denominations?
No, there's not really any difference between doctrine. But the churches have different styles of services, like some may be more Russian in character, like the Russian church in America. But if you're looking for an American style Orthodox Church, I would go with the American Orthodox Church.
