I feel insanely lucky that the first pill I tried has been seemingly working for me fine. I haven't had to deal with debilitating cramps and other things for awhile now. I had off and on depression before starting and it hasn't affected that at all. I've gained weight since, but that's because I'm a sedentary person with a desk job and eat slightly more than I burn. No issues with acne.

Will other people have issues on the pill? Definitely. But it comes down to what works I guess. Pill, implanted, condoms, etc. I'll have to keep an eye out. My state is one that will ban abortion immediately now, but I don't get enough action to make the pill live up to its moniker if you know what mean. Still, for the sake of medical issues and preventing the need for abortion as much as possible I hope BC remains untouched.

Its not the thread for this topic, but damn I feel so in-between on the abortion subject. I'm not in the celebratory camp, or in the "the world is ending" one either. I don't know.

He's not a tradcath. He's just a retarded incel.

Anyway since Roe went down and some states are banning contraception we might have to do some interesting things. Wild carrot is an okay contraceptive. Cotton root bark is an abortifacient.

If you have to self-induce an abortion and you live in a red state do NOT tell them why you're going to the emergency department. It's just something that randomly happened, right, like a random miscarriage. Happens all the time.
Personally I'd just try to get ahold of misoprostil pills and not fuck w/plants and shit. You can get them OTC in Mexico and I don't doubt people will start smuggling them over the en masses to sell to women/girls in red states (probably at jacked up prices).

Given that some of us lady kiwis live in states that either now ban or likely will ban abortion, I think safe abortion tips are relevant to this thread.

I know someone who ordered pills off here and had a successful termination. this was in a deep red state just earlier this year.

there's a few sites where you can basically just order it no questions asked and it comes in the mail with a handwritten address. could be anything

is it true they cant tell if you induced yourself?

As fair as I know as long as you don't stick the pills up your snatch, abortion via misoprostil is identical to spontaneous abortion (aka miscarriage). It's how women in Mexico and other Latin American countries you can get it OTC have been getting around abortion restrictions for decades.

Women on the Web I know helps get pills to women in non-burgerland countries w/abortion restrictions, I'm sure they'll start helping US women since like half the US is about to ban abortion.

they already do.

What the fuck?

"Red" state or no; don't lie to emergency medical staff. Nothing will breed contempt faster than wasting their time on a diagnostic goose chase. Most of them are too fucking busy to give a shit about their political peccadillos, or they at least recognise they're obliged to meet you where you're at and help anyways.

These people help junkies, violent shitheads, the morbidly obese, and all kinds of people living "objectionable" lifestyles every day. Just comes with the territory.

That's why you just tell them you're miscarrying. You don't have to tell them it was induced.

Unless you didn't take misoprostil and ate some random plants or put draino in your snatch or something else like that instead, then you should probably tell them that.

I think the idea of keeping an induced miscarriage secret has to do with hospitals often reporting them to police in the past, in some places much more than others. Some people, if you look in their family tree records, you see a female ancestor who had a record for what equates to coat hanger or soap and water douche abortions. It might be that prosecutors in some jurisdictions have put the screws to miscarrying women in more recent times, too.

I can't imagine being pregnant when I didn't want to be, let alone with a horribly deformed fetus; that fetus is on your medical record, who knows what'll happen if you come in with a suspicious miscarriage?

We're going to be seeing so many more women panicking and literally throwing away live infants, into dumpsters, into rivers, into furnaces. And I guess we finally have an answer to the hypothetical question to anti-choicers, if they'd increase funds to foster care and other child-centric care programs if they overturn Roe. The answer is a resounding LOL NO

Guess you somehow missed this?

Doctors in TX are mandatory reporters for self-induced abortions. She was released, but, like, don't fucking trouble us.

idk if it's still like this, as it's been a minute since I've lived in Texas, but my lady cousins would talk about Mexican heartburn drugs you could get at flea markets that would do 'er. Then this happened eesh https://www.cbsnews.com/news/christ...nd-in-gift-box-under-christmas-tree-in-texas/

Yeah while I love edgyposting about infanticide because it makes Thunderdomers butthurt and I have the maturity of a middle schooler, the fact that it's about to make a comeback should be troubling even if you're iffy about aborting embryos. The entirety of recorded human history has shown that humans will resort to infanticide if they can't deal with unwanted pregnancies in other ways.

You could even say it's the OG method of birth control.

Ngl while incredibly stupid, hiding a dead fetus in a Christmas present is fucking hilarious, and I can't say it's significantly worse than all the weird shit prolifers do with them in Tard Baby.

At least it's not a cumjar in the fridge

Btw "Mexican heartburn drugs"=misoprostil, you can get it OTC in Mexico and it is the gold standard for safe DIY abortions (and most early term abortions nowadays anyway)

I'm sure actually opening the present was horrifying, but just reading the headline makes me chortle. It's literally one of the most awful things imaginable, of course it happened in real life! Probably more than once! And really, are cops gonna open your presents under the tree when they're looking for a yeeted fetus?

oic! I've never heard of anyone having bad effects from it, but I imagine feds are going to stick their nose in its trafficking somehow anyway

The fact that it's OTC in Mexico isn't really going to help people in the US.

I've also been seeing a bunch of posts about herbal abortifacients circulating on social media that are just...dangerous. You're gonna give yourself fulminant hepatic failure trying to self-induce an abortion with fucking cinnamon.

Oh no, being otc in Mexico has been great for women in border states. If you have Mexican relatives, or hell, you can even take a day trip over the border. It's going to be a no-no in more states to get an abortion out-of-state (because this is about states' rights amirite fellow kids?), but people already go to Canada for abortion/care, so there's just going to be more and more going to Mexico for the pills. All we're doing is making Evangelical and MRA peepees hard, and forcing even more Americans to leave the US for medical care, which is fucked.

No no no do not do plz you might miscarry but you also could fuck your liver and kidneys

Better plan, or take a vacation to NYC or Mass or SF. They’re going to protect people who come from out of state
is it true they cant tell if you induced yourself?
No they can’t tell.
"Red" state or no; don't lie to emergency medical staff.
That should be reasonable advice, but in this case it’s not. All it takes is one mandated reporter on a power trip to put you on a 3-Day psych hold, and this won’t get better when every woman 15-45 presenting with ‘early miscarriage’ is under suspicion for soliciting an illegal abortion.

Plead the 5th

Edit to add: it’s possible to get abortion pills (it’s called “advance provision”) before you need them from here. Or here. I’m in a blue state where abortion was legalized so I’m not too worried. But If you’re in a red state, I would order some. Their shelf life is rated for two years (they are probably effective for longer.)

There’s a lot of retarded male Kiwis who think forcing women to have kids they don’t want is great news. I hope they’re shitposting, but some of them definitely aren’t. If you’re reading this and you’re male, don’t be that guy. Please.

I know misoprostil is considered an essential medicine by the WHO because other than being a safe abortificant, it can also be literally life saving in cases like women who just gave birth but are having trouble yeeting the placenta/etc. It's also used to yeet fetuses that have already died.

That said I'm sure red states are still gonna try to stick their nose in people being able to get it as much as possible

They are already trying. On the one hand, I can’t see how the ban will be effectively enforced when over half of abortions already happen through the two-pill regiment. On the other, I fear deeply for women who have complications with their pregnancies who may not be able to access literal life-saving drugs because those same drugs also happen to be used in abortion.
