"Around the year 2005", around meaning not just 2005, but any year around that one.

But 2007 works just as well, 2007 is the Great Satan Woke has worked tirelessly to reverse ever since, every cultural norm, every standard, every like, every trend, it all had to be specifically reversed into the Bizarro Clown World we have today.

Like I said, it started off as untalented hacks going against the grain just to get attention because they didn't have the talent to work with what people liked, there was this bizarre obsession to come hell or highwater force the 2010s to have it's own distinct identity from the decade prior even if this lead to stupid shit and sadly that zeitgeist has not fully gone away even though the 2010s ended years ago.

When you suck and you're tackling something with a long lived legacy, play the race or other identity card as a shield from criticism and to get people to blindly support it despite the mediocrity, whoever they gave the TMNT ip to knew they didn't have an actual interesting take on it, so just make April fat and black and boom, instant deflect.

Última edición:
I still think the 2010s was an objectively shit decade with absolutely wasted potential
The 2010s had massive amounts of potential, the 2000s was not perfect, the 2010s started off with this desire to "raise the bar" and bring back some cool things that had fallen by the wayside by the 2000s, instead assholes came out of the woodwork to spoil everything.

We were robbed of what should have been a good decade and we're still feeling the effects 3 years into the 2020s, I don't know if I will never not be bitter as fuck about it especially as, like I said, nothing's changed.

But the 2010s were a good decade for TMNT. We had the first Nick show, we had the IDW reboot if you like that kind of thing, and we got some fantastic reprints of Mirage material. We were forced to endure (or more likely ignore) the Platinum Dunes movies and Rise of the TMNT, but life is at best bittersweet.

I wasn't talking about TMNT but in general, the rot of the 2010s affected different things at different times, slowly Woke has been working it's way through every single franchise you can think of, now it's just TMNT's turn.

It's 3 years into a new decade but nothing's changed, if anything it just keeps getting worse, "April is fat and black now" would have sounded like taking the piss out of Woke years ago, now here we are.

The way I see it with TMNT:

- I grew up with two comics series that I enjoyed (Mirage and Archie)
- I got one live-action movie I love
- A live-action sequel that was goofy fun
- A fun animated series that gave me many great childhood memories
- A 2nd animated series that was to TMNT what Batman: TAS was to Batman
- A 3rd animated series that blended elements of everything that came before and mixed in its own fun spin on things
- The IDW comic series that led to a crossover comic with Batman
- A Batman/TMNT animated crossover movie
- Too many good video games to count
- My favorite childhood action figure toyline of all time (well...its that and Masters of the Universe)

I've had it pretty good as a TMNT fan. For every piece of junk (Next Mutation, TMNT III, Rise, etc.) there seem to be five different things for me to fall back on.

Honestly, I think I'm good.

Sure this new movie looks like a sack of shit with its fan baiting and Seth Rogen the chuckle fuck, but I've learned to just not watch and not look when it looks bad. If I learned anything from ThunderCats: Roar and Kevin Smith's shitty take on He-Man, its best to just not watch and let it die the death of apathy.

Yeah well try stopping the outrage mob that will make a thousand videos on the subject for those sweet sweet click views and AD revenue. If they made such a big fuss over Velma (which was mediocre at best personally) like that who knows what they might do with with this new movie.

Oh, I can already see hacks like YellowFlash, SomeGuy an other numbnuts making videos and shrilling about "DEM SJW!! MUH KULTUR WARZ!!!" shit like those mad corner preachers you'd see.

No one else has mentioned this, but after looking up the film's voice cast, I noticed something. Both Leatherhead and Wingnut (these guys)

Both have female voice actors, despite being males in every other incarnation.

So in addition to April getting a race swap, it looks like some characters are getting gender swapped.
Is April being voiced by a trannie?

most of them are juden
Cool it with the antisemitism goy.

leaving aside landwhale baboon, I already wrote off the movie with the "Donnie gets stabbed in the leg and does the Ace Ventura 2 spear scene". At that point I pretty much noped out and as with anything I check out on but have a general interest on, I'm just waiting for it to come out now and the fallout.

I'm not sure if this is more appropriate for this topic or the Western Animation topic, but ya know what?

Instead of watching this new TMNT movie, you could watch this and remember when life didn't suck.

(Description of the link -- someone on Archive.org bought a VHS lot of cartoon recordings from the 1980s and 1990s, digitized them, and uploaded them. The above is pretty much all of Season 2 of TMNT as it was broadcast on TV, meaning it has commercials and everything).

The 2007 movie was good.

I'm just so tired of all these garbage reboots made by kike sellouts, ruining legitimately good ideas with horrific pandering and shit execution. A TMNT show with the Spiderverse art style might be a good idea, but I have zero interest in watching Dudeweedlmao politically pander through a fucking kid cartoon.

It's a movie, not a show. And again, Seth Rogen is the producer and he's not involved in it except for marketing purposes, like how Michael Bay was the producer of the two live-action movies of last decade. A producer doesn't really mean shit.
