You can pirate anything you set your mind to. I enjoyed it enough to beat it on PS5 and repurchase it to put another ~50 hours on PC. I've tried Nikke three or so times and can't get into it but the Nikke crossover in Stellar Blade was a lot of fun. PC version also has mods so there's that.
I last played it a year ago and I remember liking it a lot to the point that I put 200 hours into it. I'd recommend doing your first playthrough on normal since hard makes the enemies hit harder and requires more hand-eye coordination for dodges and perfect parries.
Still it's good. I'd recommend it and the NIKKE DLC since that adds a cool boss fight along with costumes. The Nier DLC is okay but it just adds costumes (that plays annoying music from Automata in the desert. If you end up getting the game, get the mod that disables that music).

I dunno, men and women are hardwired for height. You see two plain 5's in photos but in person if one of those plain 5's is 6 feet tall then she ends up being a solid 8 in the brain

I wasn’t interested in the first game because it looked a little bland and too much of a DMCxBayonetta amalgamation, but Blood Rain’s trailer has me paying attention more. I like the higher energy presentation mixed with the K-pop-y music tracking. The MC also looks cooler than the first game’s. I am optimistic and will be watching out for it.
I wish people would stop chasing culture war ghosts in every major release though. It gets old.
