I got the game and I really like it, the game play is great, but I'm not so sure I like the story. It's really hard to understand what's going on and once you do it still kinda sucks. "The world is ending and there's nothing you can do to stop it", is a rather lame story. Why are the Japanese such doomers?

Just finished Lies of P: Overture. What a depressing fucking ending. Felt like I was playing ds1 again, but without the charm. Here is a small review for anyone interested.

I enjoyed 5/8 bosses, with my favorite being the first two bosses. Far too many of the mini-bosses were reskinned enemies with one or two extra ability, so they're mostly trash. The locations can be really interesting(visually and as levels to fight through), with the best ones being at the very beginning(lots of cool fight and interesting visuals) and at the end(LOTS of interesting visuals and LORE, not much fighting).

The first 1/3 of the DLC is amazing, the second 1/3 is good, and the last 1/3 is pretty boring, because by then they stop adding new enemies, so it's just LORE LORE LORE LORE LORE one after the other, each LORE more depressing than the last, while you fight the same enemies you fought since chapter 3.

People say that the ring of favor and protection is really good, but having a locked ring slot scares me too much. In 90% of situations it's fine, but when I want to farm giant leeches I need both the rusted iron ring and the gold serpent ring. Is it worth equipping?

Because it's a % increase, it's gonna get better the higher your vit and end are. Early (ish) game, there's hardly a noticeable difference. There are a couple of areas where certain rings are practically mandatory and one where it's required. Once you're past that, then there's no harm in equipping it.

Bought Labyrinth of the Demon King on the Steam sale and it's really shit. I absolutely can't see any redeeming qualities unless you want to claim that it being ass in unironically nostalgic.
Combat is exploiting enemies pathing while spamming strong attacks, since stamina regeneration is ass.
Exploration is just running around hoping you didn't fuck yourself by missing an interactive point.
Story is non existent, and spoiling myself on the ending it's the most boring choice possible.
And graphics are so fucked you can't even understand what you're looking at, and not in the cool cthulu way.

I grew up in the PS1 era, and games back then weren't that ugly (most of the time).

Watching Dark Souls 2 credits and there's a company called GlobalStep LLC responsible for Quality Control Testing. It's staffed entirely by pajeets.

DS2sisters... not like this...

Finally, the Nightreign lore video:
* Ancient end of the world prophecy.
* Main bad guy is a doomed knight.
* The evil presence is some arbitrary force of nature that spreads corruption.
* Need to sacrifice little girls to keep it at bay.
* Marika has a convoluted plan to stop it after she dies, rather than not dying herself.

Even the plot is recycled content

I'm stoked that I got my PS4 working again so I can play Bloodborne.

(It wasn't ever broken. It apparently had power cycled, I shrugged my shoulders and said "this is fine" - perhaps because I felt at that time in my life that I had better things to be doing - and literally never tried turning it on for four years until I finally got around to bringing it to a tech repairman who literally just plugged it in and didn't charge me.)

This plus you can get another fap ring if you give the xanthous crown to snuggly in the undead asylum. You get the crown in crossbreed Priscilla's bossroom after defeating a dark spirit that invades you in the painted world. 2 fap rings don't stack but it's nice to have another one incase you want to unequip it for something like the covenant of artorias for the four kings fight.
