I think that someone with enough motivation can make an index thread that allows for an alphabetized listing of lolcows that you can find. Or use the search function. Either way, I welcome the change. The top portion of the Boards index was visually tiring to look at with all of the subcategories and I stopped using the Lolcow board because I couldn’t guarantee finding a new and interesting lolcow to read about.

Some of the threads are so long and so full of hilarious updates/happenings that they are quite a slog for people who are new to the site and want to get caught up on a lolcow. I think the highlights system works really well for quickly catching up on a neglected watched thread but in particular for the most active and watched lolcows its can be daunting to a newbie to have to go through 1000+ pages to get the full picture.

Don't the OPs already serve that purpose? It's fairly common for people to update them with new information over time
 
Stupid question but if you want to grow the community why not buy some ads?

I agree growing into forgien markets makes sense you know India has a billion people just get a mod that knows hindi.

Also take put some print adds in the UK. Maybe play with it alittle about how the site is too spicy for then.

Finally get some call to action from streamers

These changes, as always, are done by myself because I wanted to do them. I did not consult anyone before doing them. I did not run a poll. I don't need permission to change the site. Any change I make or propose is always contentious and the loudest, most dissenting voices always prevail. I might as well not ask for permission and approach things from a practical perspective later on.

I dread stagnation. I dread doing things a certain way because they've just been done that way for a long time. I despise not doing things I want to do because I'm afraid of putting in the effort to make it work, and (often more importantly these days where everyone seems to take the piss out of me just for the sake of it) I despise not doing things because I cannot bother to handle with people yelling at me about it.

The new changes looks fine, honestly.

You moved chat away from the main page (some days ago). Did you consider simply not having the active users list, as an alternative? It works well enough in the new location, I would say, so no biggie.

Some of the chats are visible even though you are logged out. BP and Gunt chat, for example. But not general chat and Kasino chat. Is this intended?

I think this is going to make it harder to find threads while you casually browse. Even if there was overlap shoving them all in together ends up with a constant churn putting threads off page 1 because all the popular content is now in the same subsection. Communities and specific cows being split apart seems the best option at least. They're very different styles of threads. It's weird Vtubers have their own board but a subculture like furries doesn't.

If the front page was getting too messy wouldn't merging the off topic stuff work better as a clean up? Music and Art fit in Multimedia. Food fits in Health. That's 3 less boards to manage.

What is the difference between news articles and happenings? I never understood what made them different when reading the boards.
