Changes look good. I definitely dropped off following a few threads because they kept moving and I was like “where this nigger at now he’s not internet famous?”

I see internationalizing the site as a way to grow horizontally and I want to encourage it. I'll be picking some moderators that speak other languages to help facilitate this. I'm not sure what else I can do to encourage growth this way though; it has never picked up steam despite my efforts in 7+ years.

At the moment the amount of users you have doesn’t necessarily correlate to more money or even a better site. Most influxes of new users lead to small ban waves or even locking sign ups. KF is a very comfy size.

hell, I basically stopped using imageboards since before they added that 'catalog' feature. we refreshed and used the fancy new tabbed browsing firefox feature and walked up-hill, in the snow, both ways.

for site growth, you've noticed it yourself on mati, lolcows are literally dying. we have small communities here, which are nice, but growth (green line go up forever) needs consumption.
new topics/causes/interests. i don't know what the new lolcows are beyond maybe world of t shirts.

could try to get some synergistic thing with a 4chan type website, even though 4chan capital-h Hates the farms, maybe not all of it.
4chan board birthed a ton of stuff. /pol/ and trump, /r9k/ and jep neptroon, the tranny social congation probably stemmed a lot from porn addiction from tumblr but also 4chan, since 4chan had a lot of kiked/faggot threads and later/now even boards. imagine having an lgbt board

ads can also be sponsorship spots btw. that matan evanhoff lil kikelet is edgy enough to get some views yet normie enough to stay on jewtube and seems to take weird sponsorships.

I think overall these changes are good but I want to make a post throwing my hat in the ring saying that a board dedicated to entire communities WAS distinct enough to keep and that I AM that gigachad in that picture. I look like that in real life too. As is it's not at all hard to just click the Community prefix tab so I'll live but I want to say that I think it could've stuck around.

One of my favorites is Bossman. Only thing is I have to scroll atleast half a page to see if someone posted anything.
If they didnt then it is bottom of the page or page 2.
IDK. Maybe asking users for feed back. In the end it is your website and I hope it works for you.

I'm surprised by the no growth with Kiwifarms since the dropKF stuff. I thought it was steadily increasing with time. Then again my view of it might be skewed, cause we see big surges of viewers when big events happen, but that goes down quick after a day or two. Like the Kirk assassination, Kingcobra, Idubbbz Snakening, etc.

Well i hope you get a better understanding of the stagnation, and hopefully something is found to help grow the community.

There's a difference between community building trends like IBS, which made people come here (myself included really) and stick around to keep up vs. Happenings that draw in normies to check on major events like the destiny sex tapes leaks. Alot of the happenings now take place on Twitter since censorship was relaxed or people get updates on youtube without reading through multiple pages.

If there was some fresh blood in the sektur maybe we could see growth but its been stagnant since covid.

Here is an example of categorical problems:
Is Jim Sterling more Internet Famous or more Stinkditch? He was a YouTuber for 10 years before he trooned out but now his trooning out is his entire personality.
Is Patricia Taxxon more Furry or more Internet Famous or Stinkditch or Lolcows? He's a YouTuber who became openly Furry and is extremely trooned out but if you asked him he'd call himself a career musician.
Who is a lolcow? Who makes the distinction that Jeremy Hambly is mostly a grifter or a lolcow? If someone starts acting more like a lolcow over time, who makes the judgement call to move a thread? Does that distinction fall solely on me? Is such a move even necessary and does it constitute a "demotion"? Does such a move help anyone find the thread?

I feel like this could be resolved with a cheese based rating system. The stinkier the cheese, well, you know.

So if you don't want to see the furry degeneracy, you can click the prefixes relevant to your interests, and leave "Furry" unchecked.

The Lolcow General board, which exists as a separate board, doesn't have this problem.

I usually don't like changes unless there's a really good reason, but I find it much easier and quicker to reach the parts of the site and threads I browse the most, so this change has been a net positive for me.

Why is there three times as many "off topic" (literally self labelled that) boards as actual on topic ones? That's wild. Multimedia, music, games, art all need separate ones? "Live talent" somehow isn't Internet, or multimedia? Four different "news' board but none for gross fat bitches that smell like eggs? Total logic BTFO
