Reorganization of September 29th, 2025

- Lolcows, Community Watch, Animal Control, Grift Wars, Internet Famous, and Internet Tough Guys have been merged into Lolcows.
Not a fan of that. I can get lumping IF, GW and ITG with regular lolcows, but Communities and AC are the beasts(pun intended) of their own. AC also has threads that are not attached to any personality, but for communities or phenomena. Also, maybe that's just me, but I specifically avoided furries and troons since they are too disgusting to me, so I am not a fan of this decision. If it was possible to filter threads by their old prefixes of IF, GW, etc, that would be great.
- Prefixes which existed in those boards remain. Threads without prefixes received new prefixes corresponding to their old board.
- Thread prefixes across the site are reorganized and modified so that they are more meaningful and easier to identify at a glance.
Those are great, thumbs up.
- CWC, Ralph, and DSP are now sub-boards of Lolcows.
Didn't care much for them, good riddance.
- @0 0 is now a global moderator.
- Moderators for any Lolcow board are now moderators for the entire Lolcow category.
Good news and God help them all.
- International Clique now has two language-specific sub-boards.
Well, that's actually a very good decision since those threads were dominating the board and now other threads are more accessible.

Anyway, thanks for the update.

Is Jim Sterling more Internet Famous or more Stinkditch? He was a YouTuber for 10 years before he trooned out but now his trooning out is his entire personality.
Is Patricia Taxxon more Furry or more Internet Famous or Stinkditch or Lolcows? He's a YouTuber who became openly Furry and is extremely trooned out but if you asked him he'd call himself a career musician.
Who is a lolcow? Who makes the distinction that Jeremy Hambly is mostly a grifter or a lolcow?
This problem could be solved if the threads were tagged like my favourite hentais having more than 1 tag for each:

ever since i came here i never understood why threads only have 1 tag when sometimes 1 person can be different things at once like you described, also a way that allows you to search through tags would help discoverability by going to the option and typying the different tags you're interested in, you will, perhaps, encounter interesting cows you otherwise wouldnt have ever discovered before.

Since you mentioned 4chan, a lot of what helps its readability and consistency for me is the catalog option, i have never used the normal main page of a board in my life, i always beeline to the catalog the moment i enter a board, i think this could be an equivalent for that in the shiwi, now doing this all by yourself is very time consuming so a comunity thread to keep the tags consistent could help? similar to the rewrite one, idk just some ideas from some retard.

Also the image is a meme, im a pure soul!

Edit: nevermind it seems you already found the solution
I found a feature that is so secret that even I didn't know about it. It's so hidden it's fucking preposterous. Why is this important functionality not a big button?

This menu is basically a lifehack to sort through the board and includes prefixes. Filtering by prefix here is the same as clicking on the tag.
and other users said the same shit i did but less retarded, i should have used the highlights, carry on slobbermutt.

Última edición:
There are some major BP aspects to Ellen as a lolcow and you can just go to the thread and see quite a bit of BP style discussion, but imo she's a webcomic artist first and foremost, the discussion always comes back around to making fun of her shitty comics so she deserves the artcow tag.
Can you articulate a clear definition of what constitutes BP aspects and BP style discussion?

If an outsider asked you what kind of cows are in the BP how would you answer?

Community watch should be it's own subforum in lolcows.
Absolutely. Seeing 'bluesky' mixed in with individual cows is not good. Yank that one back out to it's own or a sub. It breaks things pretty bad. I'll take the changes ok, and use 'watched' since separation is now into one giant mess.... Too much consolidation under a topic might be tempting, but it makes the topics harder to distinguish too.

I kinda miss that "Infected" and "Plagued" thing in the "Communities" threads. But anyway, site seems to be doing OK.

I would've suggested to keep communities separate still, but otherwise I thinking how redundant so many of the boards were so this is an overall good change

Like every good thread tourist, I've skipped to the end and not bothered to read to see if my amazing pearl of wisdom had already been posted.

*ahem*

Everyone should be using the Follow Thread feature.
Even with the follow thread feature, I feel UI wise, there should be an option for an Persistent Prefix system or an Commonly Used Prefix system.

Hey I'm sure you have been asked this before but I will ask it anyways.

Can we have an ip range ban on all of India? I know you want go international but we must preemptively flush the poo for the betterment of the site and humanity.

Looks alright.
Only thing I'd suggest is moving anything community tagged from Lolcows to Lolcow General as a better fit for the section descriptions and keeping Lolcows for individuals only.

I don’t really care about all this board reorganization drama, but thank you for adding the cute little arrows to quickly go to the top or bottom of pages.

The second one is retarded but the first one already exists.
That's super helpful, thanks a lot!

Regarding the second point, don't focus too much on my suggested solution which is probably retarded. My point is that if you are new to the site and you want to read up on a popular lolcow like Rikieta or Bossman, you're met with a 3000 pages thread and so it's not easy to find specific events regarding the cow (although the search bar you showed me is helpful). For example, if I want to find something that Josh discussed on stream a few months ago, such as Rikieta's arrest - there is seemingly no easy way to find that. I was trying to think of ways of addressing this. You could also have an option to display only featured posts on a specific thread? The issue is that the OP is not always updated for major event, in some cases it is but often, the opening post is historical. It's hard to request the OP to be regularly updated
