Marvel Cinematic Universe

I'm a bit salty because I had a crush on Gambit and shipped him with Rogue. I'll never get a happy ending. Rogue in XMen97 is with Magento or something now.
Damn near everyone want those two together and a happy ending almost since his first appearance in the late 80s.

If the rummors that the whole point of these two movies is to reset the MCU so RDjr can continue playing Iron Man are true, everyone at Disney is insane.
They're just so desperate and creatively bankrupt, and this is the sole move they can think of. Key jingling and memberberries, and mining whatever Ryan Reynolds made popular.

It's too late to course-correct now, it was too late 5 years ago, but they were far too arrogant to realize this. I imagine the only reason they're putting White men front and center again is that they got a call from corporate that heads would start rolling if they don't unfuck the mess they've made.

It takes a special kind of stupid to have a clear blueprint of what not to do with capeshit, and still somehow managing to deliberately smash into every branch of that particular tree on the way down.

- Don't replace popular capeshit characters with women or minorities.
-If you do replace them make sure the replacement will be liked by audiences.
-Don't force audiences to have to do homework by having to watch hundreds of hours of TV shows, movies, read whatever dogshit books and comics and other tie-ins you've brightened humanity with in the past 20 years.
-Don't introduce endless alternate realities, clones, copies, time travel or other narrative retcons, make events and character deaths matter.

MCU will go down in history as one of the most disastrous IP fumbles in the history of the human race. George Lucas managed to keep Star Wars a moneyprinting machine for 40 years, Disney couldn't even keep it in their pants for 20, shitting out Captain Marvel and signifying the end of the IP.

Making doom more threatening than space homer simpson matters too.
Agree. The MCU already showed the heroes getting their asses kicked by Thanos and alternate universe characters get killed by Wanda in the Doctor Strange sequel. After all that, Doom blocking Thor's attack with two fingers doesn't feel like the big moment it's supposed to be.

MCU slaves who have probably never opened a Fantastic Four comic ever are going out of their way as members of the Unpaid Volunteer MCU Defense Forces to explain how Dr. Doom is just another villain with no particular rivalry with any certain Marvel heroes and how just introducing him with no buildup isn't a desperate ploy they had to resort to after Kang had to be jettisoned.

Shipping is suffering lol but ideally I'd like to see them both on screen at the same time for once. Never going to happen at this rate. *sigh*

Can't be any worse Peter has been subjected to for the past 20 or so years.

Marvel genuinely despises Peter Parker as a character and will go out of their way to shit on him in every continuity.

I watched the Rami trilogy with my family recently and it still holds up. Peter is a jerk but learns his lesson throughout the trilogy (look character growth!). There are sympathetic villains but they still have to deal with the consequences of their actions and aren't waved away or treated as people who did nothing wrong.

I haven't seen any of the reboots but through cultural osmosis know he's being portrayed in different stories and worlds. Which is fine, but it doesn't sound like Peter is learning any lessons and the writers are taking away key points for his character growth. I can see why this latest Peter kinda sucks.

I didn't really follow the whole Paul drama after the initial reveal, but this is straight up NTR fetishism.

I am morbidly curious to see if any of it will leak into the new movie. Is the mystery meat goblin going to cuck twink Peter?

Is that Harry Osborn?

If the characters grow and progress, they'll have nothing to milk for their endless sequels and reboots.
Right. I mean who wants to see character development in media? It might cause the audience to become introspective. Can't have them thinking. You can't encourage kids to be heroic or brave either. Can't let them see what good morals look like or realize they can persevere through hardships and be proud of their accomplishments. Put all the chips in for the manchild demographic, that'll surely pay out for investors.

No, that's Paul, Peter's girlfriend's boyfriend/husband.

MJ gets transported to an alternate dimension where time goes by faster (something like a year for every day in 616) and hooks up with Paul, and even adopts two kids, despite knowing Peter is working to save her.

Peter does save her, they get back to 616 where MJ still stays together with Paul, and Peter hovers around them, begging MJ to take him back. Then Paul makes a gizmo that gives her superpowers, so MJ gets a miniseries as Jackpot, and still keeps cucking Peter.

Meanwhile Gwen Stacy is getting BLACKED by everyone's favorite nigger Miles.

I genuinely wish pain, death and suffering upon everyone working at Marvel.

This sounds awful but I wish everyone in the story would die.

The worst part is we already have MJ with superpowers and the book she was in out sold ASM for one month but then they changed artists and the sales tanked so they had an excuse to cancel the book.

And Ultimate Spider-Man was running concurrently to ASM IIRC, and it was outselling it by orders of magnitude, blatantly showing that audiences wanted, and have wanted since BND, Peter to be married to MJ and to have children, instead of being the eternal loser.

But the people at Marvel hate Peter, and I'm not being hyperbolic here, they genuinely despise the character and are emotionally invested in making him suffer, but they can't kill him off since he's one of the few remaining sources of revenue they have left.

Yeah, I didn't get invested in Ultimate Spider-Man because of what they did to Renew your Vows. I bought every issue of RYV and they purposefully put the worst artist they could find on the book so the sales would tank when it outsold ASM. So I knew they would cancel USM.

The fans supported the good stuff but these assholes hate Peter so much they would rather see the company shut down due to low sales than see Peter and the fans happy.
