Putting aside the sheer arrogance it would take to believe that people will still be buying multiple tickets to the next filler movie between Avengers well into the 2030s, you can't be on top forever. You've dominated the box office for 18 years. Someone else will come along and replace you.

Even long running names like Godzilla or James Bond have multiple continuities to not confuse new viewers.

So how come a the subject of a random video recomention in my Youtube feed is better looking than the actress who is playing MJ?

This movies have an unlited budget to find an atractive actress to play the supermodel character, so why am I seeing someone better looking in a random video?!

I like both his depiction of Spider-Man, and that of Andrew Garfield, despite the later being unfairly maligned, and despite Toby's having the worst love interest by far (before they foisted the nigger on all of us).

Andrew's Spider-Man actually did show how the character could be scary, instead of always being a goof (Toby's Venom phase never did much for me), and the ending of his last movie was both tragic and moving

Your assessment makes me want to check out Garfield's Spider-Man. Holland always turned me off but it sounds like Garfield is not the same as his, regarding the story and acting.

Endgame was flawed, but had they ended or re-booted after it, I think people would still look at the MCU as a good and successful saga. Sure it was kind of dumb and had a lot of shitty parts (girl power!), but it was satisfying and had good arc ends for the characters everyone liked. The destruction of the MCU was everything that came after.

As for the Flash, I mean it put the nail in the coffin (or baby in the microwave, if you will), but I'd say it just passed on the grave of that collection of insane fever dreams that they cobbled together and called DCEU. If anything it was dead, falsely resuscitated by Aquaman, killed again by all the movies that came after, and then buried under the pile of radioactive manure that was The Flash (Gunn's canonically favorite capeshit movie btw).

This may be the wrong thread but I really enjoyed CW's Arrow and The Flash in their early seasons. Not Supergirl. She goes in the trash.

Grant Gustin played Barry well and it was one race swap I didn't mind because he got together with his adopted sister. If she was white it would be too weird. I'm not a huge comic fan but it may have played differently in his origin story. Even Reverse Flash was entertaining and Flash's villains were fun. Along with Arrow's. Whoever decided to label a miracle drug in the show as 'mirakuru' (yes the Japanese pronunciation of miracle) has my thanks.

I can't speak for the rest of the series because I dropped it and Arrow before they both went off the rails. Their first few seasons were very entertaining. I still have not seen a single DCU movie because they don't look fun or cool. CW versions had camp and I could tell the actors had fun with it.

Special mention also goes to Gotham before it too fizzled out. Too many character teases (look it's Red Hood! Jk no. Oh look it's Joker, Harley, and Two Face! Haha you're wrong) but most of the actors were also having fun being deranged. Whoever was the casting director did a great job. Selina Kyle's actress looked like a young Michelle Pfeiffer.

I always felt Garfield was more Petery than Toby. That being said, Toby had by far the stronger cast and the best villains.

Couldn't stomach watching the Flash because his love interest is a nigger.

To me the only worthwhile DC continuity is DCAU. It has a start and a solid epilogue, and WB/DC are apparently content to leave it mostly unraped.

Yeah Arrow leaned too hard into pandering to shippers. I wanted to see Black Canary and they botched it with an OC.

As for Flash I did read Flash's gf was originally blonde or redhead or something and that would have been acceptable too. I wouldn't want them to have the same hair color. So yeah it could have been another white actress. The dad was a good actor and I don't fault him. This was early or deep into race swapping but I remember going 'wait a minute' around Thor's race swaps and I think this happened in Flash a lot after or during the same period. It was something you couldn't push back against at the time.
Funny enough the actress was saying they were racist to her on set because she was the only black girl but other reports just said she was not fun to work with. Grant is a good guy and shouldn't be labeled as a racist. I don't think he's had work since though. Pity.
