Oprah is friends with Weinstein.

Sorry, what is that even supposed to mean? I’m not down on the great Weinstein conspiracy.

Weinstein was “friends” with a lot of rich celebrities due to the immense power he had as a producer and movie exec.

That really doesn't make any sense. They didn't find anything while he was alive or after his corpse was fresh. It's fucking ridiculous what lengths people will go to prove he "totally was a pedophile".

Like I find it hard to believe that he was this masterful, manipulative monster people make him out to be. On the surface, it's easy to make these claims because Michael himself was an awkward, sheltered, and paranoid guy. Simple as that. People see the weirdness and think, "of course he would do these things he's a wacko."

But when I took the time out to learn about the trials and what really went down, it seemed more and more like a circus. People (the accusers) took advantage of his kindness for money and when the funds stopped coming, they got angry. The easiest way to ruin someone is pedophile accusations and Michael happened to be the perfect target for many.

You’re wrong, people think he was a pedo because he was one. Lots of weird entertainers that no accuses of raping kids. MJ had random young boys sleep in his bed for twenty years because he was molesting them, not because his heart was so pure and angelic!

Watch the documentary, it answers all of your questions very well, shows exactly how he was an adept master manipulator and the families have all the creepy videos, photos, notes, faxes, presents to back it up.

I think he did tbh, but I don't care if people disagree with me on that because he's dead anyway. A dead rapist is the only good kind of rapist, and if he's not getting money I guess it's fine to jam to Bad. I still prefer the Weird Al covers tho
Sure you can think someone did something illegal, but if evidence says they didn't then it's like ?‍♀️

You need hard evidence for this stuff instead of hearsay. Which I think people should handle these things carefully and think critically instead of relying on your feels.

Wasn't that Janet Jackson? I always liked her music better. It was probably both.

It was LaToya. Here’s the press conference.

ETA I don’t recall if Janet said anything in 1993 other than bland platitudes about familial support. Janet’s career at that time was riding very high, certainly higher than her brother’s. She’d just released janet. and it was a huge hit selling about 14 million copies. She wanted to be as far away from this shit as possible.

Why did I think it was Janet? Am I pants on head exceptional?

It didn't come across that way when I watched it. The notes he gave? A lot of people whom have met Michael before have similar ones. It was usually thank you notes. And what about those wedding vows he supposedly wrote to Safechuck? They had all this stuff and a ring that still apparently fits him as an adult, but not those written wedding vows? ?

Also about the "boys" sleeping in his bed, you do realize his bedroom at Neverland was about 2 stories and entire families would sleep in there. Michael would usually sleep on the floor at times. So Wade and Safechuck were fine with all of this until now? I smell bullshit.

The documentary didn't do anything but appeal to emotion. They want you to feel sorry for these men who obviously want money because they're not living the good life anymore. Wade made a big mistake defending him in 2003 if he claims that Michael was abusing him the whole time. That's going to bite him in the ass and he knows it.

Once again- kids who are groomed will usually stay loyal to the person who groomed them and will claim a person didn't abuse them when the abuser tells them to lie for them.
Or they realize later on they were abused.
It's years of being manipulated or mindfucked.

I agree, this does happen in many cases. And from personal experience I know what it's like.

But in this case... it's really sketchy especially with how Wade told his side of the story. He begged to take the witness stand in 2003 and was one of the very first to do so. He said MJ wasn't molesting anyone then. Maybe he shouldn't have made this documentary if he was in court defending him?

Maybe Wade is sketchy. I believe the others though. I'm mostly pointing it out because of the "why would the accuser change their story or testimony?" That's why. I feel like people are forgetting what goes on in a groomed victim's mind because the accused is a celebrity, and that needs to be realized.
Of course, IF Wade was a victim, maybe he did that because he was dealing with a lot of psychological issues over it at the time? If he was telling the truth it'd be at a vulnerable period.

You need hard evidence for this stuff instead of hearsay. Which I think people should handle these things carefully and think critically instead of relying on your feels.

You are relying on feels, not us. I actually don’t think you watched the documentary. Here is eye witness testimony from two victims and various members of their families, piles of evidence in the form of videos, notes, voice messages, trips, overnight stays and instead you believe some melted face clown with obvious mental issues saying “nope I’m innocent I just sleep with dozens of boys because I’m pure of heart and had a shitty childhood.” it’s really absurd. I mean Michael wouldn’t lie!

It’s not like Wade and James were the only ones, far far from it. Mike paid off the first kid in 1993, other settlements were paid that weren’t so public. (He molested his housekeepers son, paid her $2 mil for silence)

Documentary aside, I’m not relying on feels at all and basing it solely on MJ’s admitted and public behavior over 20 years. People who are defending such an obvious abuser are relying are feels. Because they enjoy his music or fond nostalgia he couldn’t possibly be a serial child rapist, it’s really bizarre.

Micheal freely admitted to sharing his bed and sleeping with many young boys. While cuddling with an 11 year old on camera he said, “sharing your bed with someone is the most loving thing you can do.”

Watch this YT interview with Mike and his victim in 2003, start at 1:22:30

Maybe look at how he toured the world for a decade always with a different small boy, always aged 8-12, by his side. Because so many musicians do that, right?

It’s always amazed me that most of the stuff MJ did publicly would have had any other person exiled from humanity and barred from being near any children. But because MJ sung and danced really well, had gobs of money and fame, many people put aside their common sense and looked for ways to excuse his obvious kid raping ways.

I was a kid when "Living with Michael Jackson" was aired so I remember it quite well. Martin Bashir urged the boy and Michael to hold hands for the camera and admitted that he wanted to make him look as much of a "pedo" as possible.
I find it amazing that so many people took that statement and ran with it. "Oh he publicly said he has kids sleep in his bed! How'd he get away with it for so long?" Well gee I dunno maybe because no molestation happened? I mean I get it, an adult man having kids around him all the time seems pretty weird. But at the end of the day people couldn't find hard proof that he actually did anything harmful to kids. If they did he would have been long gone.
Taj kind of explains this better along with his relationship with Wade.

It’s really extraordinary, isn’t it? Sure you had guys like Jimmy Page chowing down on 14 year olds, but teen girls at that time were still considered acceptable sex partners for adult men. What Jackson was doing in plain fucking view was just :stress:

I know you’ve mentioned wanting to explore the machine behind Jackson and his legacy. Problem is this just seems so totally unprecedented that there’s really no template upon which to compare; we’re kinda in uncharted territory. You had arguably the most recognizable entertainer on the planet sexually abusing little boys and even years after this, Capital One is currently running an ad featuring one of his songs. Their ad team isn’t stupid; they would’ve known this doc was in the works well before they secured rights. They still went forward (ironically they’ve got a Prince song in another ad currently running as well).

Wow, it’s amazing to watch people’s attempts at defending him. Michael also claimed in that interview he had only two plastic surgery procedures in his life. Do you believe that?

You do understand that child molesters don’t video tape their child rape, right? Because the way you write it seems only a video of MJ cumming all over a nine year old’s ass would convince you of his guilt. (Even if such video existed I promise his defenders would say it was fake and still defend him)

So I’m curious what exactly would convince you of MJ’s guilt? You apparently think he’s innocent simply because he says so.

I mean, it is and it isn't. Stuff like this has been going on for centuries (pederasty, shudo, bacha bazi, etc.). Probably millennia. The rich, nobility, clergy raping the poor and they had no recourse and no one to believe them.

Well like I said earlier I got most of my information from the publicly available trial from 2003-2005 which was very long and had many details regarding what happened.
An important detail people seem to forget was that when Neverland was raided there was no child pornography found. It was mostly Hustler and Playboy magazines. Heterosexual porn? Imagine that! The stuff they tried to pass off as child porn was a coffee table artbook, but that was thrown out immediately.

They had so many witnesses come in and said he did the most horrible things to children, but then crumbled under cross examination. AKA they were lying out their ass. The accusers themselves kept changing their story as well and the mother of the child was a convicted con artist. Bashir (the guy who made a documentary on him) was also there during the trial and wouldn't answer simple questions about Michael. Luckily MJ had unedited footage of the documentary shown in court which contradicted the narrative Bashir was trying desperately to push.
