Addams Family? Thats a good movie but its going to get BTFO
Addams Family has at least the thing of being the Addams. No, Tumblr was suggesting this:
In an ideal world, nobody over the age of 8 would be interested in this.

From that Grauniad review
"The only acceptable and woke films are those that portray people I disagree with as irredeemably evil and pathetic"
At this point is there really a need for professional film critics? We live in an age where fifty thousand people can put their own reviews online or make a video about the film and do it with 100% less pretentiousness in their writing/explaining and without being bought out by the big companies.
There is a place for film critics, but they have to be actually interested in the art/entertainment itself, and they can't be so steeped in delusion that they become incapable of accurately judging the quality of a film.
::MANY:: pro critics (even hacks) have a craft to their work that is worthy
.
There's also the conspiracy theory that Disney is shelling out money to media outlets to shit-talk the movie to scare people into not seeing it. And Disney is such scum I can believe that.
And again, I don't think the accusation of "valuable craft" applies to video games journalists. Virtually none of them ever do anything that could be described as actual journalism. They are merely self-glorified enthusiast press, and they're becoming increasingly bad at that as they chase recognition of their real-world value in their (rightfully) dying profession.
Guess I'm watching this film this weekend. Hopefully it lives up to the audience rave reviews. At this point is there really a need for professional film critics? Yet again, this is another film where critics don't match audience reaction. I bet you these fart huffers will think that the "unwashed masses" have the wrong opinion for liking this incel film, as opposed to just wanting to watch a good film and be entertained.

The trolling is all too easy these days

For those who have seen the movie, how convincing and believable is Arthur’s transformation into the Joker? Is it like Breaking Bad, where the main character slowly and gradually morphs into a villain over the course of the film/show, or is it more like the most recent season of Game of Thrones, where Daenerys turns genocidal without much thought or care as to how she got to that point?

I'm surprised the guardian didn't sperg about incels. I'm pretty sure the whole incel angle and "oh the army is worried about shootings" was all marketing. Though I wont rule out glow-in-the-dark shooting antics until the first week is over.
The feds have been predicting "Gamers" would rise up since 02I'm surprised the guardian didn't sperg about incels.
