I don't know who is the most obvious example of "conventionally attractive blonde with great cans and a PR team hyping her on appearance alone as if this won't get old quick", but in recent years it just seems like they're not even trying to be subtle about the pattern anymore of overstaying or overhyping someone's sexual appeal or attractiveness to the point where I am just lost. I literally didn't notice how quickly the bots and boomers turned on Hawk Tuah girl and moved on to Sydney Sweeney as the new bestest and hottest girl ever of the now. They're absolutely attractive women, don't get me wrong, but all of the commentary and focus on them for being "hot chicks you wanna fuck!!! she's talking about sucking cock! she's dressed up as a dog in Skinemax Degrassi!" feels like someone is almost telling you to find them hot, or else you're gay or jealous.
I was once largely indifferent to the "it girl" cycle (where the media hypes a random attractive woman, overexposes and sexualizes her to the point of them becoming known for nothing else, then dumping her unceremoniously for the next one) but now I find myself annoyed that so many women's careers in entertainment tank after their fifteen minutes of fame are over once the general population finds someone else to cum to/hate watch, even if they are decent in their career of choice whether it be acting, music, etc.
I don't get why people still feed into the formulaic pattern with Hollywood starlets and not even stopping to ask themselves if they find this person "hot" or if they're just being told they are. I know it's normal for media to place so much emphasis on fuckability over everything else, and when the subjects lean into it to propel their career as fast as possible, only to get dumped and called "past their prime", usually after the last one ran their course in terms of sex appeal or said something in a random interview that horny old men don't like, but it's starting to feel like they're using less and less effort. It all feels like a blurry photocopy of another blurry photocopy.

I always thought that movie had a slightly creepy vibe to it, and that was before I knew anything about who directed it. What makes it even more creepy though, is learning that the film's director, Luc Besson, met his then wife when she was 15 and he was 33, and that she gave birth to their first child, aged 16, just a year before the film was released.
The parallels between the film's premise and the real life situation of it's director (who also wrote the film) makes watching it a decidedly different experience.
Never saw the appeal of Chalamet. He always struck me as a pouty actor who'd be most appropriately cast in a shampoo commercial.

Well to be fair, the guy she's supposedly dating has a hole in his chin the size of a mining borehole and the man threatening her has two sides of his mouth sliced open.
I think one thing the Nolan movies captured was the characters weren't beautiful or monstrous, they were grimy, fucked up, but also ordinary and consequentially believable. In the shitty, run down world of his Gotham, Gyllenhaal would be considered a catch. Contrast that to Marion Cotillard's more conventionally attractive Talia al Ghul, a classic femme fatale.

I seem to recall Bruce Wayne strolling into a party with a couple of proper hotties though...so its not like people there couldn't be hot. The only logical way to interpret the scene IMO is that The Joker was being sarcastic.

It’s a shame he’s being criticised for his natural looks, but being a rich famous actor is a massive privilege and people having opinions is part of the deal.
He’s also had far more compliments than he would have ever got if he wasn’t famous.
(And if he were female, he’d never have got so much as extra parts without a nose job).

She's aged in a weird way and her face looks kinda lumpy. I thought she looked ok in Donnie Darko. But whatever looks she had faded fast. I think the problem is that she has her father's face and it looks weird on a woman.
