“Hot” celebs who are not that attractive

Apparently this is the new dracula. Caleb Landry Jones. Whenever clips cone up in youtube shorts, ppl gush about how sexy and hot he is.
Personally, i think he looks like a mix between a frog and a deepsea creature.
As a vampire fan I think he's very mid. He looks like a Temu version of Johnny Depp in this pic.

Sidney Sweeney is attractive but she has those dead SSRI eyes that people usually make fun of and I'm surprised no one has pointed it out yet for an easy dunk on twitter.

I am probably very, very biased but every actress that chops her hair down to this

instantly gets -10 to her looks. Even if they have a killer body, decent face and are okay in their film/modeling/music careers.
Yeah, I am biased, I love long hair

Not actually quite on topic, but this was too adorable to not share somewhere. I don't typically like fat guys with beards, but I agree with Elle here. Both Jack Black and Danny Devito are both just so cute, and it's 100% because of their personality. Or at least the roles they take on.

Long time ago, my parents grabbed a DVD from the pile. It was the Dark Knight. My sister made a face. Mom asked her to elaborate. She said "Maggie Gyllenhaal?" in that weary, disgusted tone. Mom asked her what's wrong with Maggie. Sister said "She's like a weird swamp hag old lady version of Kirsten Dunst". I have no idea why I started laughing so hard I almost peed.

Short hair is Challenge Mode for women. Generally it is less attractive. Especially if it is part of some general boss look feminist aesthetic. But for that same reason, when a girl looks hot with a short cut, it really emphasises how pretty she really is. Similar to how when a girl is still really pretty with minimal make-up / natural look, you know she's gorgeous.

It helps if the short cut is messy rather than severe. Keira Knightly and Natalie Portaman with a couple of short scruffy cuts, vs. Emma Watson and Anne Hathaway with very severe ones.

Keira and Natalie look like they're about to run onto the field and kick a football about with you. Emma and Anne look like they're about to spend the entire day sending emails from HR then go home and cry with a Safeway "dinner for one".

All just my opinion, of course.

I like her earrings.
I want to gently tug one and see if a light comes on in her eyes.

Kirsten dunst, scarlett johansson, julia stiles and julia roberts don't really do it for me. coitus would be more a case of convenience rather than lust with them.

Short hair on women is essentially the handicap principle. Much like how a peacock's tail demonstrates how great he must be to survive with such a burden, a short haircut demonstrates how feminine and pretty a woman must be in order to pull it off. Like "I can chop all my hair off and STILL look good, my face is that angelic" type of thing.

Of course there are also women where shorter hair simply works with their features, it's all a very person-by-person thing
I agree. The features I have seen that look good with short hair are the very feminine, neotenic types. Women with strong features can of course be beautiful (and in my personal opinion are the most beautiful), but short hair tends to bring too much attention to the masculinity of their features, while in contrast it is brings attention to the extreme femininity of the facial features of others. "Pixie cut" is aptly named because it suits people with pixie-like features best. Anne Hathaway is gorgeous, but I don't think she has "cute" enough features to pull off short hair as successfully as say Winona Ryder or Audrey Hepburn.

I briefly had a pixie cut after I graduated and was doing fieldwork somewhere without reliable running water for months. Long hair was a pain, and it was hot, and I just went for it. I do have the sort of face I think it works with (big eyes, good cheekbones) but I’m not pretty enough for it to look stunning. It’s. A hard cut to pull off.
I wouldn’t do it again, and I’ve had my hair long ever since, but it was ridiculously convenient. You can just wash your hair with a jug of water! It dries in minutes. This is how men are so relaxed and don’t get how long women’s hair takes to sort out,,,, when I see trannies with their fright wigs and people in the threads asking why they don’t understand conditioner I sort of get it - with short hair you jus wash n go

I always liked Winona Ryder's in Girl Interrupted. Or Twiggy's iconic 1960s pixie cut.

The more feminine you are, the easier it is to pull off. Put a short hair cut on Jaimie Lee Curtis and it's downright horrifying. (But then she pretty much tops my list of Celebrities Who Are Not That Attractive by a considerable margin).

I knew a girl years back who went beyond even the pixie cut to a shaved look. Not quite GI Jane - she had enough hair you could stroke it like a cute little animal, but not enough to bend or brush - but she was 5' and a Gillette blade tall. She also had a very elfin, unmistakably feminine face. So she remained very attractive. Helped that she had a personality that could light up Manchester.

Probably a little unfair to @The Jewel of the Nile that this has suddenly become the "cute celebrities with short hair" thread because the general point is spot on - overwhelmingly short hair does look less attractive on a woman. But it's like some kind of Uncanny Valley effect. If you can make it to the other side, it can actually work for you. The key element is if it makes you look like you're fun, or if it makes you look like you hate being a girl.
