Nah, there was genuine heart and competence in the characterizations and the idea of a 'cartoony' version of I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream is a genuinely clever one. It had its ups and downs but overall the themes were communicated effectively and the characters themselves were interesting in their individual struggle.
Goosey just had to sacrifice it all on the altar of his tranny fetishes in the finale.

Metalocalypse and Superjail are genuinely two of my favorite Adult Swim shows. Especially Metalocalypse. Fucking love that shit. Saving the huwhite race by raging out over a cartoon PPP told you to hate is definitely a take.
Like I said bro, no one is telling you to like it. Heck I'm one of TADC's most ardent defenders and even I'll admit it has flaws. But it didn't descend into full blown troon nonsense until the finale. Up until that point it was a genuinely good premise with charming characters.
I'm a based mofo. Hate niggers. Hate troons. Simple as.
And even -I- could enjoy it for what it was because I am a genuine lover of animation. It was well done. The concept was interesting. The characters acted in a sensible and intriguing way within the premise. I'll give credit where it's due.
The ending? Yeah it ruined everything with how trash it is but that doesn't diminish the work of the previous episodes.
