I've been trying to find a forum to discuss this show that isn't R*ddit, so I'm creating a thread here.

If you are into medical dramas, the show is definitely worth a watch. There is some level obnoxious social commentary, but it hasn't been enough to significantly pull down the quality of the show yet. (At least for me.)

(Edit: I wrote this 4 episodes into season 1)

What are your guy's thoughts on the show?

Wow This sounds like the most generic shit that has totally never been done before. Let me guess the doctors really really hate the system and want to just do the heckin free healthcare but can't because they cant ok.
Actually sounds gayer than Oz and in Oz you get to see at least 3 penises an episode and sometimes doodoo prison butt rape.

The moment I chuckled the most at was when they introduced the school shooter kid. He looks like an early 2010's Emo kid / stoner burnout.

Anybody that went to high school in the 21st century knows that this is the type of kid you need to worry about:

Some level? Are you even paying attention to the show? Or are you just a big liberal fag? It's one of the most paint-by-numbers DEI shows ever made.

We had a scene where a doctor corrected some trans faggot's pronouns and the fag cried. A scene where a White man has been accused of molesting his children (a then later a female nurse threatens to murder him by spiking his IV). A White male straight teenager is being setup as a school shooter in some incel storyline. The classic White father forcing his son to be a jock and bullying him with cringe worthy dialog of "my son is going all the way to the majors". A genius shitskin female doctor who began medical school at thirteen years of age. A White male doctor who is a drug addict and has nearly killed a few patients already. Endless female empowerment moments (way too many to list). A White male obese patient who is being so impatient that he assaults a female nurse because his turn in the ER is taking too long.

Main character is a heroic jewish doctor named 'Rabbinovich'. His predecessor was a nigger doctor. An entire episode about how the 'Freedom House Ambulance' program was started by minorities then taken over by racists (even though in reality it was nothing more than a sham operation connected to drug dealers). A Trump supporter having a mental breakdown over people wearing masks. Same Trump supporter being openly mocked by several doctors and nurses over people wearing masks in surgery including to her face. Finally being shamed into admitting how 'wrong' she was about masks and she practically begs the doctors to wear masks during her surgery.

Two individuals steal an ambulance. Is it niggers stealing it for drugs? No. It's White college students. And this is smugly predicted by a nigger nurse (or doctor?) who gloats that her prediction of it being White fraternity pranksters wins her the office betting pool on who stole the ambulance. A White teenager gets brought in for a big abortion storyline where the hospital convinces the mother to let her abort the child. A woman is pushed onto the subway tracks but a heroic nigger saves her life by jumping down onto the tracks.

This show is like a DEI parody of a network hospital series.

There are definitely a lot of eye-roller moments. However, compare it to literally anything put out by Netflix/Amazon.

The show isn't totally woke. It has realistic portrayals of urban blacks in it. The alcoholic guy, for example. There's definitely a leftist slant, but you could theoretically edit out a lot of the Marxist scenes and the show would play like something that came out in the late 2000s. It strikes me as the type of product designed by someone relatively down-to-earth, and then ideologically driven weirdos lower in the chain try to push their worldview onto.

I'll be real with you. I've been beaten into submission on the woke media front. Its in literally every piece of media at this point. Every single show to come out since 2016 has had some level of fag/Jewish propaganda in it. It's at to the point where you have to look past the faggotry if you want to engage with any recent media. I genuinely can't point to anything Western that has come out in 5 years that doesn't have some level of woke propaganda in it.

I pirate everything before buying it. If it has any anti-white messaging in it, I'll watch it but not buy it. Needless to say, I haven't found myself paying for anything in a long while.

I enjoy it because Allegheny General (which is far superior to Presby, and I will fight you on that) is used for the establishing shots, though the writers' knowledge of geography is a little lacking, as evidenced by the ambulance chase. One minute it's headed out towards McKeesport, then someone says they hope it crashes out in Beaver County. Like, how would that even happen? Also, most of the medicine seems pretty sound, at least by tv show standards.

It's still obviously being done with the whole DEI checkboxes style of production. It might be a top level production with tons of strong acting. But at the end of the day the writing and casting reek of DEI measures and checking off every box to ensure it follows the usual modern liberal slant.

There are five episodes left to see how the show ends. It might end up leaning heavily into modern DEI storylines or away from them. And supposedly the last five episodes of this season are 'show defining'. Everyone is predicting something like a stage collapse at the festival or a school shooting.
I was both disappointed and glad this wasn't a sequel for ER. First, bc I like ER and second, because I'm tired of reboots.
This show is actually being sued for being a sequel to ER where the showrunners then cut the Michael Crichton estate out of money and credit. This was pitched to HBO and the Crichton estate as an ER sequel. Then magically became 'The Pitt' with zero influence from ER.
At this time, which show doesn't have social commentary?
Nothing in media does anymore. Even sports are saturated with modern politics and garbage. I watched a UFC event last night and the cameras are showing Andrew Tate and some actor named James Kennedy who had violence against women charges in the crowd like they are celebrities and heroes. Yes shocking someone with the last name Kennedy abusing women. But you can't even watch sports without constant mentions of nigger history month, trans pride or fag pride, and some other liberal degeneracy.

Ha, season two opened with a Clarks song! Love to hear it!

So, in the newest episode, 2:7, they're doing a rape kit and display a lot of privacy and deference to the assault victim, except for some reason they show her naked ass as she's undressing to put on the exam gown. I don't know why, but it's really disconcerting, to me. They don't show anything else, and the camera cuts away for her story, so the graphic details are kept to a minimum, again, displaying an understanding for privacy, but the shot of her ass wasn't necessary, for the story or otherwise. On a positive note, they did shout out PAAR. Great group consisting of advocates and social workers. They will be there for you every single step of the way, from kit to prosecution, and beyond. Anyway, rant over.

I'm totally sure that we can expect total balance and nuance from a show that went out of its way to depict a Jewish survivor of a terrorist attack thanking a hijabbed Muslim for their support, harangued a bullied and mentally ill teenager for being an incel not sympathetic enough to the same girls who have treated him like shit at school, made sure to portray a woman declining masking as a deranged idiotic hypocritical strawman, had the sole anti-vaxxer be the same one bringing a lawsuit against beloved chadette Mel, always uses the term "unhoused" instead of homeless, negatively portrays a correctional officer as being inhumane by trying to follow protocol and protect the hospital staff, etc.

I do enjoy the show, but even if you agree with its perspective on these points, it's pretty clear where their priorities are going to lie on this one. Especially when 95% of the staff at this point is a minority.

I'm totally sure that we can expect total balance and nuance....
Every single episode has two or three moments where a character turns to face the audience (camera) and spews out some approved liberal rhetoric in the most embarrassingly unrealistically possible manner. Half of the lines are the characters dunking on perceived political enemies. With nurses or doctors scoffing at those without vaccinations or those not wearing masks.
Especially when 95% of the staff at this point is a minority.
Yet almost all of the patients are White. White obese losers, White drug addicts, White injured prisoners. The only nigger patients are the ones with some sob story or injuries that are not their faults. The White patients are gluing their eyes shut or stealing ambulance or writing school shooter lists. It's like a parody of real world emergency rooms yet showered with Emmy Awards for drama. The Chair Company is a more serious show.

I had high hopes for this show when it was first airing. I was really into it for the first few episodes. Then they had some black woman give birth to a baby for some fag couple and tried to play the newborn being harvested from its mother at birth as some sweet "wholesome" moment. Total ideological capture.

The show is also quick to dip into 2010s feminist writing tropes. It was really frustrating to see Santos make rash decisions all season and get vindicated every single time. An attitude like hers would get anyone in trouble, regardless of how talented they were.

Woke politics aside, I also got incredibly annoyed at how the show portrays the patient-doctor dynamic. It portrays the Doctors as being these totally selfless warriors that are ALWAYS making the best decisions for their patients. Oh how irrational a patient would have to be to be skeptical of the Doctor's advice.

The reality is that Doctors make mistakes, just like any other professional. Sometimes they misinterpret things, are preoccupied, or a key piece of information is not given to them before assessing a situation. You NEED to advocate for yourself when going to the Doctor.
