season finale any good? havem't watched it yet but im not seeing a lot of discussion about it.
No. Last couple episodes turned into the Dr. Robby Show and were pretty weak. I am pretty much over that whole arc.

I don't really like this show very much. I've worked in hospitals my whole career including 10+ years in the ED and the writing is generally a mess and overly preachy most of the time. Why are all the violent patients MAGAtards? Where's my homie coming in trippin' off a sherm stick trying to fight everyone like he's down to his last continue in Mortal Kombat?

I'm totally sure that we can expect total balance and nuance from a show that went out of its way to depict a Jewish survivor of a terrorist attack thanking a hijabbed Muslim for their support, harangued a bullied and mentally ill teenager for being an incel not sympathetic enough to the same girls who have treated him like shit at school, made sure to portray a woman declining masking as a deranged idiotic hypocritical strawman, had the sole anti-vaxxer be the same one bringing a lawsuit against beloved chadette Mel, always uses the term "unhoused" instead of homeless, negatively portrays a correctional officer as being inhumane by trying to follow protocol and protect the hospital staff, etc.

I do enjoy the show, but even if you agree with its perspective on these points, it's pretty clear where their priorities are going to lie on this one. Especially when 95% of the staff at this point is a minority.
:story: As expected, the ICE episode was as sanctimonious as you can get, from Dr. Robby's "fuck you" speech straight out of an "and then everyone clapped" anecdote, an aside that they essentially raided a favorite local restaurant (so where can I get my tacos now!!), and the agents themselves get maybe five lines total so they're about as cardboard strawman as you can get.
According to the one of the actors who played an ICE agent, they did film more scenes with them to make them more sympathetic.
Meaning, they were going to go for balanced until the last minute because ICU nurse spent his day off trying to grab an ICE agents gun in real life.

The show is unable to stop itself from bending the knee to its healthcare heroes. I won't doubt the idea of S1 having a "playful" line about killing a Healthcare CEO that got cut after Brian Thompson's murder.

A show like house md where the main character is openly racist and sexist for shits and giggles to his employees really would not be possible to be created by the modern world.
Just wanted to add this as an adendum because its funny:

Taub/The Jew doctor on house's team was bragging about the hospital giving him a billboard, resulting in house pulling out a magic marker from his pocket:
