That council scene just raises so many questions. Why is Bronn the accountant for the kingdom? Why is a dropout like Sam serving one of the highest positions of maesters? Why is Podrick part of the kingsguard? Bran denied being lord of winterfell because he's the three eyed raven but now he's fine with being king of Westeos?

Why is Bran suddenly Bran and not "I am no longer Bran"?
What happened to Brienne's oath to Sansa?
Why is Samwell no longer a member of the Night's Watch?

I don't know how anyone could've thought GoT was going to have a good finale, as I can't think of a single HBO show I've seen with a satisfying ending.

A Band of Brothers ended fine but then again it pretty much was a 1 season show (as it should have been), but besides that you're correct. At least 3 of their shows I've seen had terrible endings.

I am drunk and I am sure this has been said but that was the most stupid fucking SJW pandering ending I've ever seen. I can't believe it went from "okay this can maybe turn out fine" in ep 5 to full on "put the disabled person in charge, replace the monarchy with a sorta democracy, let the woman be queen for no reason, banish the evil patriarchy to the north" bullshit in ep 6. Fucking hell.

I think the ending for the Starks sans Bran is fitting, tbh. Jon was happiest when he was with the wildings and Arya never cared about being a lady, so going on more adventures seems to be her thing. The Sansa being Queen is spelled out in the books as well. And I mean, I had this theory of the Iron Throne going down in flames since I first read the books, so maybe I won in the end?

King Bran and the voting system just seems doomed to fail, tho. What makes them think the Iron Islands won't want independence or any Lord/Lady will vote for the next king to be someone utterly ruthless but that benefits them in the long run?

I liked the shot with Dany in front of Drogon's wings, yeah super obvious symbolism but still cool screencap.

The ending only makes sense if you're Bran. You will sit back and watch all these niggas die around you, including watching your Dad get his wig split, your Mom and your brothers get murdered, your sister raped and warg into a stable boy to save your crippled ass, to become king.

These motherfuckers really did 8 seasons to say "the only winning move is not to play."

I don't know guys I'm watching it now and I'm liking the Daenarys/Hitler speech. Kings Landing was full of untermenschen and she cleansed it with fire; good. The world will be reborn. She's meine Führerin my Queen always and forever-wait, what is Jon doing noooooo stop

In all seriousness Drogon killing Jon right then and there would have been a fitting end. Daenarys sounded more like she wanted to establish a Dragon Reich than a fairytale world of freedom, love and happiness. I could have watched two more seasons of Übermensch Dragon Queen vs Frozen/Sansa tbh.

Thinking about the series, I realized that what made this finale so depressing is that none of the main characters end up happy.
It all ends with them picking up the pieces to start anew but without any lovers, friends, or family to help them.
