It seems to be a common occurrence from what ive experienced and what my friends say when they started that you need to do a roulette to get the XP needed to level up and continue the MSQ past the level jump.
 
I started fresh with a new character as well and hit that same wall a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't anything a few dungeon runs couldn't get me past. The extra Flame Seals didn't hurt my feelings at all.

For the most part there isn’t a level wall, but for some quests there is a jump. The very beginning and very end of ARR are where I hit these jumps.

I ran the game on a fresh character once before data travel existed to play with someone during the rush a couple years back, I don't remember if it was a preferred server or not, but I didn't hit the level wall. I do recall being so overleveled that I couldn't even access my HW abilities because I couldn't enter HW zones, so I might have been in a preferred server because I doubt that's expected by the designers when they made the EXP curve for ARR.

I also did some daily leveling roulettes once or twice, so that might have also helped me dodge the wall. If anyone is at the level wall ITT, save yourself some time and just do a leveling roulette and do something else. Spamming dungeons, especially as DPS, just takes more time than I think is reasonable on a fresh character. FFXIV is long enough, don't make it longer for yourself unless you're just desperate to hit the next story beat. This level wall exists pretty much nowhere else in the game to my recollection, hell I was overleveled for Endwalker's entire 6.0 story despite it being a "fresh leveling" experience because I did the trick to start the MSQ at level 81, and I hit 90 while I was around the level 88 range iirc.
 
I'm pretty sure I hit 90 by the 86 range. I know I was capped going into Ktisis Hyperborea at least, but I've also gotten into the habit of doing every sidequest at this point, mostly to remove map clutter.
 
I finished the Seventh Umbral Era questline and I liked it a lot more than I expected. I’m sure I’ll really like the expansions then with how they’re considered much better. I still need to get through the SAE, but the epilogue of the SUE did get me interested.
 
GShade's developer seems to be attempting to save face months after the whole controversy where their mod was force-restarting people's computers as a part of some anti-tamper DRM to stop people from using a side-mod to GShade.

Damn he's both dumb and late. Really he could've just mea culpad then kept quiet. Smarter move than reacting too much to the usual people. Too late now most people I know migrated to another program made with similar stuff.

I sincerely doubt it's meant to be. But you know, "legal disclaimers" to keep the heat off/plausible deniability.

I'm pretty sure this person had to lock their Twitter once and clean up some of their posts because they were actually doing gposes using some of the blatantly underaged characters at one point, like Khloe.
