The community is insufferable. I've been having a lot more fun playing other games lately so I haven't been looking at the thread much. There are multiple success stories through FFXIV that are uplifting and fun to tell. I can't say that's my experience with the game. I enjoyed the story, it was pretty good. The community outside of that sours the game.
I've had a lot of ghosting and strange social behaviour this tier. But most players don't have an internet celebrity soapbox to cry on. And putting up with the whims of streamers/youtubers get old quick.
