I used to be live and let live until I realized that I can't actually trust every other edgelord to just be ironic, I always assumed that it was obvious that the joke is "this edgy thing is so obviously bad that nobody would really indulge in it", and at the end of the day everyone just PRETENDS like they only care about themselves and it's ok to steal and be cruel and shit as long as it doesn't come back to affect you.
