Both the prosecution and defense have rested their cases in the Karmelo Anthony murder trial. There was a large delay this morning, and when court resumed it was announced that the defense rested. This was not expected the trial was supposed to be two weeks long. Closing statements tomorrow and jury will be sequestered for a full day tomorrow to deliberate.
Update to this case: Dumb Nigger Karmelo Anthony has been found guilty of Murder, NOT Manslaughter.
This difference matters due to the fact that Manslaughter is the unintentional death of someone without premeditation. Murder is the direct intention of ending the life of someone.

For non-legal Kiwis, 'Disparate Impact Theory' is the idea that a neutral policy may be discriminatory if it results in unfavorable outcomes for women and minorities. On its face, it's supposed to prevent employers from enacting policies like "We only employ blonde/brunette applicants" or "candidates must be able to carry 50lbs 3 miles for this desk job". In reality, this has resulted in employers not being able to introduce any policies that may hurt colored employees, and should they be forced to dismiss a LGBTQIA+/POC/Female employee, they could almost certainly expect to receive a a crippling lawsuit.
This resulted in many classic bangers like mental/physical exams being illegal for most occupations (including Police/Firefighters), and promotional tests being thrown out if too many whiteys passed (Ricci v. Stefano). This was also the basis for the Obama Administration's "Dear Colleague Letter" where he warned schools that if they discipline too many minority students, they risk a Federal Civil Rights lawsuit.
It cannot be overstated how many bad things in the modern job market/educational system are a direct result of Disparate Impact Theory.

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere despite it being pretty big news. as of May 19th 2026, Roblox has heavily restricted games for people under the age of 16, if you want your game to be accessible to people under the age of 16 you have to verify your account and pay about 5 dollars a month to have this feature enabled, theres a claim that you also have to pay 1000 Robux per game published as well, I need more verification as I haven't checked in on Roblox in a while.
