Ya, looks like Phil decided to look up what types of guns that hoodlums like to use in an effort to "fit in", I guess with the latino community which I now assume he thinks is full of gangs.
Glocks were controversial at first since they were effectively all plastic in design. While they have a metal plate or two in them to prevent that whole "illegal to use due to being undetectable" thing, it was a big issue back in like the 80s when they tried exporting to Murika. Thing is that a determined criminal can get that plate removed. So the pigman is basically squeaking about a gun that may or may not raise an eyebrow since he also postures about wanting to murder people.
not true really... they were controversial at first for being a very popular "plastic wonder 9" (beaten by the H&K VP70 some decade earlier) but the legislative move to ban them from sale went nowhere when more informed people realized that the frame was largely plastic (a Glock specific mix of Nylon 6 with other long chain polyacrylamides) as were some features, but all important things (like the slide, the springs, most control levers, the ammunition, the recoil rod assembly, the sights, parts of the magazine, on and on) were steel or aluminum and were detected happily by metal detectors of all kinds.

he was in my shop towards the end of May, i want to say the 28th but may have been the 27th. he was a bit shabby, but i've had all kinds of people at my shop (and it's a shop, not a store, i'm a gunsmith/manufacturer not really a dealer except for some wholesale stuff) and after looking around and playing with a phone, i asked if i could help him. he mumbled a little, glancing at things behind my cage (that separated my shop area from my sales counter) and asked about import pistols. i said i mostly did either imports, manufacturing, or repairs - was he looking for anything in particular. he was looking for pistols or maybe a shotgun - something under $200. i didn't really have anything like that and advised him of some local stores i knew and to try and look for a used deal on calguns (a forum). he said okay, looked around some more for the next 10 minutes took a couple pictures of interesting guns on display, and left.
i knew i had seen him somewhere but didn't make a connection until i was browsing ED on recent lolcow articles and was linked to him off the CWC-Phil reveal video. now that i know who he is, i can say that he's been in my shop previously once or twice in the past month but never asked for anything and the first time had someone with him - a friend or roommate from their talking.
edit: let me add a few details he was carrying a ratty looking woven or other cloth type tote bag with some heavy stuff in it (books maybe and a thermos from the shapes if i were to guess) and kept fiddling with his phone the entire time. his clothing reminded me of shitty grunge bands from the 90's with a lot of tattered black, some pins and buttons, a knit hat, and unkempt greasy hair under it. he had some cheap headphones, and a shirt with the sleeves ripped off and a green jacket he wasn't actually wearing, but just had draped over the top of the tote bag. i've had worse people come in, but it's a rarity - average gun store customers wear jeans, slacks, a polo or t shirt, and are generally put together. he stood out and seemed uncomfortable which was why i played light-touch since first time buyers are the nervous type in my experience.
