Someone used to have a few proton drives and mega links shared with me and a few others but it's long gone. Although I think someone shared a big ass vault that contains a few torrents which include (I think) most of anything Warhammer a few days ago. I could find it.

I've finally started painting my Solar Auxilia up, but as usual I've been indecisive and been flicking between paint model to model. It's not been a real pain because I've been using the slapchop method method and I don't care about fine detail when I have almost 100 Auxilia to paint (minus vehicles).

At first I went with an Emps Children inspired scheme, but that was too outrageous even by the standards of this universe and my wife called it gay (bitch).

So I settled with a more grounded approach that I've ended up liking quite a lot. Both models took me about 15 minutes each which I'm really happy with.

Sorry for the double post, but first, Fuck the Tyranids, lost a crusade game to them. HeartShapedTear, the creator of that Critter Conflict game, apparently admitted to someone in a text that he used to have child porn on his phone and was arrested for it before.

In the ever growing number of faggots that want to start a warhammer youtube channel, I ran across another one. Like I said, 11th edition will draw in noobs and bringing people back in.
"I'm completely new to warhammer 40k" and calls his channel Warhammer Zone. Ok, maybe it's someone basically just vlogging their journey into starting 40k. Could be interesting, might be worth a laugh. Especially since he claims he's starting from nothing.

"I won't be showing up 3 years late, I'll be starting together along with the beginners and veterans" And he's already fucked if that's what he thinks is going to happen lol. Turns out I was right about it maybe being worth a laugh to watch this. At least he has low expectations for winning and the fact that a learning curve exists.

"I don't want to pretend I'm an expert, I've said this before" wait... what does he mean "before"? This sounds like the start of a channel. Is this foreshadowing into something retarded? If he claims he's completely new to the game, painting, lore, etc. then what the hell does "before" mean? Sure he's probably been into a GW store and done a paint demo, he says he's watch batreps that's kinda whatever, but that doesn't explain "before".

"army building just got way more fun" what the fuck do you know about army building? How do you know if the armageddon box makes any sense to post two videos about it? Kinda like what magikarpusedfly thought he was going to do before he burned himself out with the dicecheck channel. But instead he just wants in on that sweet sweet youtube 40k money and I guess hoping he gets enough of an audience for GW to send him free shit.

So...the dude claims to have had seizures that memory wiped him (RPG videogame style).

Looking good. Still cannot decide on an Auxillia scheme so I've taken a break to work on some Mordheim stuff. They look really nice in metallic colors with strong weathering. I don't have much more infantry to paint...just two more rifle sections, a command section, veletaris....

Yep way way too long….however it may play into another army idea I had for black shields,

Since Enyrd Haar has a miniature id want to do a mass infantry fangs of the emperor army. If he’s a warlord everyone not bulky gains infiltrate and imagine 3 stacked tactical veteran squads with combo weapons, shotguns, and heavy weapons would be awesome in my mind.
 
In stupid reddit drama

Basically, the art of war 40k youtube channel put imperial guard as A tier, and a mod on r/TheAstraMilitarum lost their shit whining about how it's a C or D tier army(yes, throwing a fit over a fucking tier list) because the guy who rated it A made a mistake in a video last week and was 15 points over in a posted list as if that's the difference between guard being unplayable trash and being a decently competitive army. The mod called for people to not watch, post, or contribute to AoW in any way(as if paying for coaching in 40k was ever a smart idea), simply because the better 40k players apparently knew something the reddit mod didn't about playing guard.
AoW tier list video timestamped for the segment about guard(it's only about 2 minutes long)

Fast forward to this past weekend, a guard player wins a GT, the reddit mods delete discussion about it. It was a 26 player event livestreamed here
Starts at around 4:25:00

Then it comes out another player(an AoW player no less) won another GT with 50 players while playing guard

With both players going 5-0, scoring 100 for all 5 games basically sweeping the shit.

TL;DR A reddit mod is upset that his favorite faction is rated higher by professional players than he believes the faction is capable of and throw a tantrum banning people from the subreddit and people leaving it to move onto r/astramilitarum instead. The next weekend, the faction scores 2 sweeping victories at 5 round tournaments including one by the AoW team that the mod threw a tantrum and banned users over in the first place. Basically reddit mods acting like reddit mods while switching the bans to temp bans just to spite the users still who dared question the power of a reddit mod, rather than simply reversing everything for realizing he was being a dickhead.
 
It's two different arguments talking past each other. Art of War only care about the maximum value you can get from the biggest skew lists possible and everyone else is talking about the arny in general.

No one rational is parking 1000 dollars worth of minis so they can buy 20 Ogryn except tournament players who are gerting their shit subsidized. It's why looking only at tournament results is for retards, since balacing around skew lists only makes things worse.

And AoW never said any different. It was entirely obvious that they were looking at it purely from a top player competitive perspective, that's what they do. Yes they had a couple of minor errors in the video, but it still didn't justify the reddit mod tantrum. To say they're even two arguments talking past eachother doesn't even make sense, because even in their reply to the shitty reddit mod, they acknowledged there is a difference between playstyles, something the reddit mod failed to grasp to begin with.

Whining about someone else's tier list is dumb, throwing a public fit and banning users who were trying to point out that they weren't even talking about the same perspective is pure reddit faggotry. Leaving users banned for even just 24 hours because they were posting in disagreement "they didn't follow the 'stay on topic' rule" is just tranny levels of fail.

The retarded reddit mod should have understood that he wasn't the type of player that the tier list was even for in the first place.

btw, it also wasn't running 20 bullgryn or whatever either. Nemo(the first guy) had a single 40 point unit of ogryn as a bodyguard unit, and the other player's list was only 60-70 points different.

It's not even really a skew list. It's just an infantry heavy list using krieg, catachan, cadians, tempestus scions. Basically... a little of everything except armor really(1 sentinel isn't much), and certainly wasn't some weird meta chasing type of list that the average player would never have. It makes the whole situation even more ridiculous specifically because it didn't require some bullshit skew and was just actually playing well.
