Warhammer 40k

The retarded reddit mod should have understood that he wasn't the type of player that the tier list was even for in the first place.
Why would you give a shit about anything on reddit to begin with, its like your constant posting of people trying to Kickstart a YouTube nerd career by jumping on the "hot new thing". If you swim in shit dont he surprised when you get it in your mouth.
btw, it also wasn't running 20 bullgryn or whatever either. Nemo(the first guy) had a single 40 point unit of ogryn as a bodyguard unit, and the other player's list was only 60-70 points different.
I was using the list in the AoW video.
It's not even really a skew list.
Yes 150 infantry bodies isn't a skew list. You remain a complete retard. And before you get butt hurt over me not using exact math, I don't care.

You do know that this is Kiwifarms right? Regardless of thread, shitting on Reddit, YouTubers, and so on is kind of expected on this website.

So I'm new to 40k tabletop by a lot, so I apologize if I get this wrong, but I thought a Skew list was pretty much any list that overloads on a single unit type and tries to flood the enemy players with bodies that they can't statcheck right? so like a 2000 point list that runs 6 stacks of 20 Beast Snagga Boyz and 6 stacks 20 of normal Boyz would be a skew list right since all together that's 240 infintry

Would you ask your grandma about video games and take it seriously? So why would you do the same with reddit? You know they dont know what they are talking about so why waste your time? Even more so when you are prone to getting upset.

A akew list is one that minmaxes a particular unit or gameplay style to make the math skewed in your favor. It could be flooding the board with cheap infantry so that they physically can't kill enough guys or generate enough OC to keep you from shutting them down or it could be bringing 3 or 4 defilers or C'tan to do the same thing in the opposite way.

The main point is the rules are a huge mess and balance is basically nonexistent since they haven't FAQed a bunch of broken or ambiguous rules interactions. That's on top of detachment and unit rules being entirely redundant or completely unworkable. The unofficial rules faq for that one tournament shows what they are working towards and its unknown who was using it or not, so only broad strokes comparisons can be made.

Because running across silly shit on the internet and posting about it is something people do on this site. You're not one to tell anyone about swimming in shit or getting upset.

Sure, and that's fair. Except it wasn't even what was used to get the wins, and isn't relevant to the wins. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that some pro player isn't going to be posting his list for an upcoming event(I'm not even sure it was the same guy from the video either) isn't going to telegraph what he's taking, and even if that were the case it only accounts for one of the wins, not both since the other didn't have anything to do with AoW.

Going all infantry for a guard army isn't some ridiculous skew list that dedicated guard fans wouldn't be able to or even be unlikely to run. All infantry is fairly common, and it still does so while having everything from heavy weapon teams to recon units, again without relying on a specific type of unit as a skew. Sure it's not a combined arms list, but it's not a skew in the traditional sense. Get over yourself.

Yes, but it's not like these guys maxed out the number of bodies they could take with guard either, which has also been done in tournaments. At the end of the day it's a bunch of 1 wound models but actually following your mission and preventing enemy scoring does most of the work for the top tier players rather than relying on trying to just cripple or even table your opponent. I posted the stream including one of Nemo's games(I think it was the final) so you can see for yourself how he played it, and since it was wargames live doing the streaming and not GW's shitty commentary people they actually mic the players.

Except you purposely seek it out so you can self righteously post about it here in your pretentious smug superiority.

Yeah its not relevant to the conversation despite your normal 2000 word essay on reddit posting about it. You can just be wrong you don't have to double down every time you are.

They post tournament results from over the weekend, there's nothing to telegraph.

The list you posted is by the guy who won the Las Vegas Open last year with the same setup. The best guard player in the world. Every other major tournament win is by people running combined arms.

The point is to flood the board with cheap bodies and enough firepower to kill big stuff while being able to bubble wrap it and capture and hold points at the same time. You want cheap bodies because you are wasting overkill with every shot so they have to disproportionately use firepower to wipe out 70 point units to do nothing since you can toe in 3 more in 11th.

You don't know what words mean nor the concept behind them. Maybe go back to reddit since that is absolutely your level intellectually and emotionally.

So Recon ironically wants to flood the board with units. Each of its missions kind of wants it to have more units on the board than the opponent.

This is a drama website, sir. We laugh at retards, and now I'm laughing at you and p1138.

Jersh cares not from where the milk flows, only that it do be like that.

Okay third time lucky, think I'll stick with this. Quick to paint, doesn't look too bad especially when they're in squads of 20.

I gotta say the Solar Auxilia range is probably my favourite Warhammer range bar none. They're unnecessarily finicky to assemble and very small but they have a lot of soul, something nu-hammer primaris niggers could never understand.

Now for the fun part, a name and lore for them.

New Auspex Video going over what's "Winning" the game right now. Warpfriends haven't uploaded yet so I can't use them.
Pretty sure he just uses the tactical tortoise stats combined with a few other places, which is a good quick rundown for the average viewer.

Until the official update at the end of the month its pretty much going to be the least untouched as winners.

The most notable unofficial change that will probably have results is that fight on death stops sweeping advances in their tracks. So you can feed a unit with it to completely stop something for an extra turn compared to before.

The reddit mods were retarded, but 2 things can be true at the same time, guard can have a really strong specific list and have everything else be shit.
I think its very rich that the recon squad and recon detachment in specific is seemingly part of the core units that made the list work. Since its the shiny new thing and also one of the expensive kits since its a killteam. Jew Workshop strikes again

Sorry for the double post, but first, Fuck the Tyranids, lost a crusade game to them. HeartShapedTear, the creator of that Critter Conflict game, apparently admitted to someone in a text that he used to have child porn on his phone and was arrested for it before.

He has since made his twitter account private.

So people have been defending this, which is hilarious and kind of sad/terrifying

Recently impulse purchased the emperor's children combat patrol. Really nice sculpts. Was looking for any tips when it comes to painting/hobbying them. Also would it be prudent to see if I can find the launch box for them for expanding or would it be better just to buy the individual units?

I've seen the box that comes with Fulgrim at my LGS, are you thinking of painting them more in like with how they actually look or are you trying a custom scheme

Lots of drybrushing on your pinks, purples and violets and get a purple wash to make them pop like firecrackers.

Problem with the EC launch box is that unless you're getting a hell of a discount, you're also paying for an obsolete codex and datacards. The christmas battleforce that @Professor Donger mentioned "Blissbound Warband" would likely be a better option. That with the combat patrol you'd end up with 2 units of flawless blades, the lord exultant and infractors/tormentors you already have, the noise marines, and fulgrim.

At that point you can decide to add demons, or some armor and battleline depending on how you want to go.

I wanna try the box scheme. Probably won't get too into the weeds of doing all the details like the vials and stuff. I just want to get a smooth finish on the pink. I was looking at finding the launch box that comes with 2 squads each of the battle line and noise marines as well as the special edition book but since it's the new edition I might as well wait to get the new book when it comes out.

As far as list building goes I think I wanna lean into the flawless blades. They're my favorite sculpts of the bunch, even with the pinhead Larry/cone heads. Would it be better to run their 1 pt detachment with the peerless bladesman for the melee buffs or the transport detachment?

So I haven't seen these but
