Speaking of stupid beliefs we just had another rant about emulators.
So when asked about playing old pokemon games, Phil claims he can't play them cause they're not available for sale on switch 2 and playing them on emulators would be stealing the game.
The current lore about why he won't emulate is no longer being scared of being striked by nintendo, but because he doesn't want to steal games.
(the real reason is just he's too stupid to install an emulator correctly and fears fucking it up)

RetroArch in general is a bitch to set up your better off using stand alone emulators for all your games cause its easier. if anything I would only recommend using RetroArch for N64 games since Project 64 has a lot of stability issues

Nah, you're just not as insightful as you think you are and you're hung up on your pet theory. Phil isn't just a begger, he's a psychological mess. Greed is a major part of his personality but it's not the only thing that drives him. Saying that Phil doesn't care about his ego is about as believable as when Phil says that he doesn't talk about the trolls.

Depends on the console. Some need BIOS and finagling to work, but those are usually the obscure ones (or DS/DSi, ugh). Pokemon games will just work.

He's mentioned using emulators before. It could be he is too stupid and had Jahn set them up. Regardless, if his dents handheld him through mods they could do it for an emulator with no bios file required.

He also said that by recording himself playing it also gave the feeling that you were in the room with him playing and that made him better since he was more personable... even though he had videos dedicated to just shitting on his fans for literally no reason, not even a hatemail or stupid questions segment, just straight up insulting his viewers for saying they liked his videos.

He thinks his viewers care because more than 10% of his kahntent is talking about his setup and background on any given day if not more.
If DSP wants to felt the detractors he needs to spend 2k on black friday getting high end monitors and a fancy desk with delivery and installation. That would really really upset me.
