Fromsoftware owning the IP means jack shit if Fromsoftware are still owned by industry conglomerates. I don't know why people jack off to the sound of it so much as if they'll have full creative freedom. And if they do have creative freedom, they have decided to waste time on 2 multiplayer centric games, their weakest links and nichest playerbase instead of embracing the tradition of an armored core sequel game.
Other companies still have a massive stake in the IP. From apparently hold the rights to Sekiro as well yet have done jack shit with it beyond asset and animation reuse. As a gaming studio they're getting very grating. Beyond cutting the coolest silver knight armor set from Dark Souls III's dlc before release, I've had enough with their antics and will promptly tune out until something worth talking about comes up.
