I am incredibly interested in hearing about Chinese lolcows so I have extremely high hopes for this thread. I understand that a lot of it will be in Chinese, but please offer translations where possible.

and then whatever funny subtitle you want. The proverb thing's good or maybe 中国特色的网络自闭症 (Internet Autism with Chinese Characteristics)

Looks good, Chairman Moon Zedong would approve. Not 100% sure about that title flag thing, I included it in my Greek thread's title just incase. Maybe a mod can clarify.

Thank you! I appreciate that and your thread contributions. China is very foreign and alien to Americans - for example, I had no clue that the Chinese cared so much about zodiac signs in marriage. I'm certain I (and others) will have context questions in the future as well.

Absolutely. I made this thread to be a bridge gap between the West and the East so hopefully this thread will be equal parts insightful and hilarious. Also I don’t think it’s fair to make our non-Chinese majority attempt to machine-translate Mandarin to English. The results are often pretty fucky.

If it would be best, I can add an English translation for the OP as well, if users here feel that would be helpful.

Personally I feel the OP doesn't need to be translated, because these Internationale Clique general OPs just give some archiving guidelines in another language and maybe include a couple of jokes. If anything, it's more for new foreign users to help them share cows. I would focus more on translating the actual content that gets posted in the thread.

Also, title suggestion, I think you should remove the part about inserting a Chinese proverb and keep it simple like:

It will match the other international general discussion threads better.

You have it repeating 中国特色的网络自闭症 twice because you included the subtitle in the title heading. My bad, I guess I wasn't clear in my last post:

Great article - I'd love more on Falon Gong and their chicanery. I didn't know Shen Yun is basically their recruitment tool. The show gets shilled up and down the East Coast of the US and I had no idea (until now) that it was connected to Falon Gong, or that the Epoch Times is connected to it all. Very informative and the content is lulzy.

Weird that it gets so much advertisement in places like NYC despite the anti-gay stance.
