Wasn't the main reason she was hired to be the Nostalgia Chick to review the girly shit that Doug never saw as a kid? 'Cause she never actually ended up doing that...

Usually someone who fawns this hard over Tom Hardy is a /tv/ or /bane/ poster. Here's a piece she wrote for IFC a while back. Once again, she spends half the article sperging over Tom Hardy:

The only video I think I only saw her in was The Chipmunks movie review. (The 80's one) I think there was a joke in that one about her going rogue. -- I didn't like her in that review and thought it was terrible.Wasn't the main reason she was hired to be the Nostalgia Chick to review the girly shit that Doug never saw as a kid? I think so, iirc... She also did a review on the 90's X-Men cartoon which Doug later reviewed.Wasn't the main reason she was hired to be the Nostalgia Chick to review the girly shit that Doug never saw as a kid? 'Cause she never actually ended up doing that...
That's a big part of what criticism is. And if you're going to make a show that holds up nostalgic media to a critical light, discussing the social climate that directly or indirectly shaped a work's creation would be a pretty big part of it, no?She seemed like she would rather use everything she reviewed as an excuse to talk about the social climate at the time the media was released, as opposed to actually reviewing the film or TV series itself.
To be fair I think she was still in film school when she started and I rember thats all we talked about in High School Film. She seemed like she would rather use everything she reviewed as an excuse to talk about the social climate at the time the media was released, as opposed to actually reviewing the film or TV series itself
That's a big part of what criticism is. And if you're going to be talking about nostalgic media through such a lens - Does it hold up? Why doesn't it hold up? - then discussing the social climate that directly or indirectly shaped a work's creation would be a pretty big part of it, no?
James isHope this doesn't happen to James Rolfe.
I pretty much stopped following Film Brain among others when they started mocking Rolfe 'taking a stand' against Ghostbusters.Well some people in the Channel Awesome circle are already shitting on him for that video. (see Some Jerk in Disneyland)

Aren't they actually friends in real life?Has Doug bitched about Rolfe's video too? Would be kinda sad since he built up his entire persona off Rolfe's...
The only current Channel Awesome contributors I've seen Lindsay interact with recently are Todd, Rantasmo, and Brad - which isn't saying much since Todd is her roommate(?) and Rantasmo has ties to ChezApocalypse.Does she still keep contact with Doug or anyone in channel awesome as of now?
I thought that they were dating for a whileTodd is her roommate(?)
Funny, they were the only Channel Awesome Contributers with actual knowlege in filmshe seems close with Kyle Kallgren
Didn't she abandon Channel Awesome a few years ago?and JesuOtaku
