I thought Lindsaaaaaaaay was alright mostly up until the whole social justice crap broke through. I liked the little skits she did with her friends and he critique style was pretty cool, she usually got a few laughs from me. Didn't know about the abortion movie, maybe the rumors were true and she had it done because it might have been Lewis'.

When the site was brand new, it held a fan contest to see who would get the front page nod of "officiality" alongside Doug, and even though Lindsay had 2x+ the votes of anyone else (with Marzgurl as second), ThatChickWithTheGoggles got the feature instead - now, consider that it's come to light that ThatChickWithTheGoggles was also a literal stripper and camgirl who went so explicit that she outright sold anal-focused shoots and videos, and you can't help but wonder a little bit if she gave Doug a little "champagne room" action to get the feature and screw over Lindsay.

Let's see, the people who left TGWTG and became normal..

@LordKaT was always a regular, contributing member of society, and went off to do cool things because, well, he's stated he likes to do cool things with programming and tech. So he went and did that, and continues to do that if the GeekStreak channel is any indication.

Haven't heard much from Phelous or Lupa, but I assume they're doing alright.

Benzaie went on to become a pop culture icon in France from what I understand, so he moved on to bigger and better things.

Yeah, Benzaie is the one guy who unquestionably became bigger after Channel Awesome. His videos get 200k views on the low end and regularly crack the half a million mark.

Marzgurl is also doing pretty fine. She still does the internet review stuff in her spare time (although it doesn't really seem to be super popular and a bunch of her vids don't even reach 1k views), but she still has a full-time regular job and seems to be happily married for a good while now. Makes sense, even during the height of the Channel Awesome days, I was really never able to dig up anything dumb or lolcow about her (other than her apparently having dated Linkara at one point.)

From what I've heard from other TGTWTG fans at the time, most people considered Goggles the hottest of the 3 finalists, which is probably why she got picked as the winner. I think she ended up doing one or two videos on the site before she went back to camgirling, so it seems like she only entered the contest in order to gain a new audience to exploit. Marzgurl and Lindsey ended up getting featured on the site, and lasted much, much longer on CA than Goggles did. Of the three, i've heard Lindsey was the only one that had "casting couch" sessions with various other CA contributors.

To fill the info gap, Phelan got on someones bad side after it was revealed that they were continuing to use his 3D intro animation without his permission (and they also were using Skitch's music intro without permission as well). He apparently went through some bullshit about his 3D effects being bad (as compared to Dougs effects or some shit). IDK I was long gone by that time.

I had forgotten about the shit grinder Lupa went through as well. Its pretty fucked up to expect someone to be available at a certain time on just any random day. You plan meetings like that ahead of time. That was just an excuse (a poor one) to remove an influence they didn't want around anymore.

Two more average people that escaped and succeeded on their own. The list grows.

TBH I figured that Phelous left when Lupa did I mean they were and still are a couple from what I understand and they took Sad Panda,Welshy and AWD with them.

Phelan and Lupa still do reviews. I actually enjoy the reviews they do because they don't do... annoying skits. Phelan has bits during his review, but they don't take away from the review, I think. Unless it's the Bootleg Zone where he just plays with his toys doing silly voices for the last 10 minutes, but whatever. It's fun. I also like Lupa's Baywatch review series (which also has funny bits that I enjoy), but I would rather her 'main show' go pack to Obscurus Lupa Presents instead of Movie Nights. Oh well.

Thank you! Somebody else misses the old Lupa and doesn't particularly like her "Movie Nights" bit. The only times you get to see her is when she and Phelan team up to do something with or without Brad.

Agreed with Linkara but what's the hatred for Hagan? She loves exploitation movies and so do I. If it wasn't for her review of "Never Too Young to Die" I would never have known there was a copy, on youtube of all places, of the ultimate 80's movie starring John Stamos, George Lazenby, Vanity and Gene Simmons of KISS fame who in it plays a literal hermaphrodite terrorist. You can't make that shit up.
