👓 TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

Also yeah her obsession with Transformers and her starting Twitter accounts of Transformers is a bit weird. Especially since Starscream is supposed to be some sort of Red Pill/MRA/MGTOW type according to her, is that the joke? But then again these types have this odd sense of humor.

My only guess is the comparison is meant to paint Red Pillers as cartoonish.

I never understood her obsession with Starscream or her attempts to paint him as an MRA/redpiller, since the only thing Starscream was concerned about was wresting leadership of the Decepticons away from Megatron. Transformers don't have genitals or genders (though the majority look, sound, and behave like males), so gender politics means fuck-all to them.

I recall Lindsay doing one of her weird, unwatchable retrospectives explaining that Starscream was a sex icon to fangirls. I recall this because I distinctly remember her proving it was true by showing a photo of a fucking body pillow with Starscream printed on it. I'm sure there's some sort of ultra-clever, fringe as shit connection.

So...all girls want sex machines? I know what to get my GF for Christmas!

NGL, I know a ton of Transformers fan girls and most of them want to fuck the robots.

Megatron/Starscream is a popular pairing.

I really don't see the appeal at all, but this is the Internet, after all.

Why, oh Lord, must I belong to a species containing people who want to bang creatures which exist primarily to put in happy meals?

So if you want to "bang" the robots, why would you turn them into internet women's most undesirable thing? There's some weird ass logic going on here...

So that nobody will know she masturbates to it, even though it's plain as day.

In 2012, she did a top 11 list on her favorites "(this week)". Her ranking, as follows:
Honorable Mention: The Incredibles
11. Blazing Saddles
10. Sita Sings the Blues
9. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
8. 25th Hour
7. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
6. Who Framed Roger Rabbit
5. The Iron Giant
4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
3. Princess Mononoke
2. Pan's Labyrinth
1. Wall-E

That list is so.... basic for a film major. I'm honestly disappointed.

when we have shipping fanfiction pairing off robot animals from fnaf, why should we be surprised when the horniest Disney fangirl also wants to fuck robots?

She made a new video about Jack the Ripper
https://youtube.com/watch?v=i-3gmyEluKkWhat interests me is she seems triggered by the fact that Jack killed women

I hope Lindsay knows about some events in Tower Hamlets, where a group said they were going to set up a women's museum in an abandoned building in the area, only to change their mind and set up one about Jack The Ripper instead.

I'm not planning on seeing the video (seeing Kyle's "triggered" reaction in his Shakespeare Month is enough for me), but what does she say/do/show exactly?
Honestly it's mostly an okay video, but every now and again she goes on about how prostitutes being murdered was a fetish in the 70s and how problematic that is

In addition to what Mechanical Hugbox said, she's also fairly upset that in most of the films she covers the prostitutes don't really do anything except die - they're objects, not characters. Which, I mean, I'm not normally eager to dismiss that complaint, but the prostitutes' deaths is really all they contribute to the Jack The Ripper mythos, so... yeah.

Unrelated, Lindsay also talked quite a bit about conspiracy theories and made a bunch of dumb Illuminati jokes that, imo, were far more annoying than the other content. Mostly it made the video feel disjointed as hell to see her flip back and forth between serious research and *flashes the Illuminati triangle while mugging for the cam*
